I’m the CEO of MacBook Reconditionné. Our company sells refurbished Apple products in France, Belgium, and the UK.

What challenge were you trying to address with The French Touch?

We needed someone to develop our website.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

First, The French Touch proposed a free draft of designs. After we selected one, they developed our website on WordPress, which is hosted on OVHcloud. We insisted on using WordPress because its functionalities allowed us to easily modify the site to add projects or change prices on our own. The team also helped with SEO.

What is the team composition?

I was in contact with four people. There was one person handling the billing, a webmaster, an SEO expert, and a point person who takes my feedback.

How did you come to work with The French Touch?

They were recommended by a friend who made a website with them. We initially contacted the webmaster, who asked what we wanted in terms of design, whether we wanted a mobile responsive website, and so on. Afterward, he made a quotation, which we agreed to.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent €4,500 (approximately $5,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

The project lasted from August 2020–January 2021.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

I love the website design; The French Touch did a great job at making it look modern. After about a month since we launched the website, we began receiving plenty of orders despite the COVID-19 lockdown. The results were more than I expected — the team had assured me that it usually takes two months for businesses to have customers, but it took us less time. Their SEO efforts were also very effective. We rank high on the search rankings, and our Google Ads Quality Score is good, too. Thanks to them, we now have a lot of customers.

We only ever had a big problem on our website once, and it was a server error. The website was down for only 6–7 hours. Although it wasn’t The French Touch’s problem, they resolved it for us within the day by calling the server provider. 

How did The French Touch perform from a project management standpoint?

Working with them was great. The French Touch made the process easy and straightforward. Whenever we had an issue, they took care of it immediately. At some point, we wanted to change some keywords, and they were available to talk to us and grant our request. The team respected the deadlines we set — we needed the website done within two months, and the developers finished it in 45 days. In terms of tools, we used Slack, WhatsApp, and email. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

The website’s price, design, and speed are all excellent, but what we love most is the team always available. They always answered within 2–4 hours. Even after the engagement, they still responded within the day whenever I had any questions. If I need anything else, I’ll contact them immediately. It’s been a good experience.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think there was anything they could’ve improved upon other than the price. However, if I had gone to a cheaper vendor, I don’t believe the quality would’ve been as high. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

If you want them to finish the website as fast as possible, prepare documentation in advance. Send the team all the information, texts, and pictures they need. If they have all that, they’ll be able to work very fast.

We had entrusted our project to the french touch. It was about creating a website while respecting our graphic charter. Once the site was finished, we gave them the google seo campaign to be visible in Europe

What was the team composition?

The team took care of us from start to finish, we started with the sales department who took care of the quote. Once this was finished we had direct contact with Reda, the webmaster who keeps us informed of the progress. He was available if we needed to make any changes.
