I'm the CEO and founder of CASCON, a company that develops advanced aerospace and defense technologies, including photonics, optics, and AI-enabled systems. We help European OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers enhance capabilities and reduce external dependencies.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Foundation?

We hired Foundation for rebranding. We wanted to redesign CASCON's brand to reflect a change in positioning, i.e., a shift from innovation consulting services to a serious technology developer for the aerospace and defense industries. We wanted a brand that would reflect the accumulated experience of the company's staff and a big focus on excellence while demonstrating that we were an established player and could think outside the box.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Foundation guided us through the whole brand construction process, from understanding how we want to communicate and to whom we want to communicate to asset implementation. During the whole process, Foundation performed a brand identity workshop where they helped us define our tone of voice, personality, and values, among other important aspects. After this, they took the information provided and generated our brand and created digital and physical assets for us to use daily (e.g., business cards, document templates, letterhead, website, email signature).

We found them through an online search. We chose them over other options because they had a great culture fit, and their company values aligned with ours.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in September 2025, and our engagement ended in July 2026.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We had a 500% increase in LinkedIn traffic and more than 10 positive replies when the new branding was shared via email. The new branding also got us 50% more contacts from potential suppliers and one new customer.

How did Foundation perform from a project management standpoint?

Foundation was responsive and delivered on time throughout the vast majority of the contract. There were peak moments on their side (as well as ours) that delayed the work from the original timelines, but they were always transparent about it. They always proposed new timelines and then committed to them.

Foundation will assist RYZ Solutions with creating a Starter Strategy to support RYZ Solutions in positioning its brand toward new audiences. Following the completion of the Starter Strategy. Foundation will complete 3 months of digital marketing services with a goal of increasing site traffic that leads to increased MQLs for RYZ Solutions. The Company is aware that the exact number of visits, traffic, and content marketing results depends on various factors not always related to Foundation's performance.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Domain Authority Growth: Increased from 0 to 12, driven by 4 high-quality backlinks from authoritative sites (e.g., HubSpot, RankTracker).

Organic Keyword Growth: Top-100 ranked keywords increased from 1 to 44; top-20 ranked keywords grew to 2 in January.

Traffic Growth: Organic impressions grew from 108 in September to 3,100 in January.

Content Creation: Published 7 SEO-optimized articles and restructured the website’s homepage and solution pages to enhance engagement and lead generation.

Improved Search Visibility: Enhanced RYZ's credibility with Google, making it easier to rank for high-value, non-branded keywords.

The project management was excellent. Mackenzie was always on top of every detail, providing timely reminders whenever I needed to follow up and consistently checking in to ensure we stayed on track. Communication, follow-ups, and updates were seamless and made the entire process incredibly smooth.

If I had to suggest an improvement, it would be to provide more proactive expert recommendations earlier in the process. As experts, we valued their guidance on best practices and what steps to take to achieve our goals, as well as tracking progress with clear metrics—which they did implement after receiving feedback.

We broke the project into two sections, "Brand Story / Concept" and "Messaging Framework".

After productising our offering, our brand story was no longer fit for purpose. We needed a new concept that flowed from our to-level messaging through to the day-to-day work our teams deliver with clients.

With our productisation came challenges with messaging, how do we describe Sherpa. We needed to bring together the brand products, being able to describe us in a word, sentance and elevator pitch. We had started work on both but knew we needed to bring in some experts to help guide and deliver this for us.

We needed a new brand story and concept that resonated with our prospects, clients and team. Bringing to life the work we had been doing on productising our solutions. On top of that we wanted a messaging framework, giving a name and descriptions to our approach and products. Simplifying a complex solution so that anyone can understand and talk about it.

Very well managed. The brief we shared was extremely tight during a really busy summer, they did a great job at managing the workload and timeline. There communication throughout was fantastic, keeping us in the loop for what was happening, when and why.

We spoke to a number of providers before making a decision. We have a rule of thumb that it takes 3-6 months to understand the industry we work in when we hire someone. Foundation got under the skin and lived Sherpa from the offset. Just in the proposal stage, it felt like they really understood our challenges, the industry, and what we were trying to achieve. Way ahead of the other providers we spoke too.

They delivered everything we needed and more. I honestly can't think of anything they could have done differently.

The work was extensive, covering the development of targeted lead generation content strategies and effective Reddit campaigns that engaged niche communities, sparked organic conversations for us, and increase brand visibility. They also created high-quality content for our blog and were responsible for creating and implementing a comprehensive distribution strategy.

Furthermore, the new branding was designed and delivered incredibly fast.

We’re a lot more confident about our brand now, thanks to the work of Foundation. Our website looks a lot better, the bounce rate has significantly decreased, and visitors have been spending a lot more time on each page.
