I’m the CMO and director of operations at The Nickel Ride. We provide eco-friendly, innovative transportation in downtown areas. Our rides are free within the limits we’ve established with the city.

What challenge were you trying to address with Flatastic LLC?

Our website needed to be updated. The old site wasn’t dynamic or informative enough to represent our company.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Flatastic began by scoping out the entire project with us. After they understood our needs and what our team was capable of, we created a plan that covered the budget, deadlines, and resources. From there, they redesigned our site with added features and functionalities. Some of these elements included adding animation to our pages and implementing basic marketing features. They redesigned the site on WordPress, and, once they completed it, we contributed our copy and had rounds of feedback.

They gave us a small team of less than 10 people with different specialties and skill sets.

I wasn’t onboard when our team hired Flatastic, but I believe our CEO found them through Upwork.

We spent around $15,000 on their services.

The project began in April and ended one month later in May 2018.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The new site is a world of difference from the original, and the quality is exactly what we wanted. We’ve seen a significant increase in traffic, and the feedback has been positive. Our users have told us the site is more professional and legitimate, so the project was worth the investment.

How did Flatastic LLC perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicated about everything over email, and they used a Google Doc to plan and track progress. They were also conscious of deadlines; they always met them or finished earlier than expected.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Flatastic are good at this work because they have a strong, positive attitude and are passionate about it. Their team is tenacious and has the drive to help others succeed. Unlike other businesses, they weren’t focused on the money; they went above and beyond to meet our goals.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Make sure that you plan a realistic amount of time to accomplish the project. If you want the work done right, and don’t need to rush, Flatastic is the right choice.
