Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

We needed to transition our Shopify store to a new back-end provider for subscriptions, and update our storefront. Key deliverables included managing back-end transition, creating custom front-end modules, and generally optimizing web flows.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We had a list of specific deliverables that were updated in real time as things were implemented, and were focused on the speed and accuracy with which those items were implemented.

Fifth Effect did a very nice job of being responsive, and were willing to engage in extended back and forth to ensure that things were done the way that we wanted. When unexpected issues arose, it felt like a collaborative and productive effort to determine a path forward. As high priority items were identified, the team put in the energy and effort to quickly dispatch those items, even on tight timelines. Overall, their responsiveness and efficiency were extremely high.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I was very impressed by the team's willingness to work hand-in-hand in iterative fashion to make sure that we knocked out high priority items. It did not feel like they were annoyed, even when they had rapid fire requests thrown at them with high urgency, and that was extremely appreciated.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Fifth Effect Studios could have done differently?

There were occasionally some areas of slight miscommunication in terms of how we wanted the final product to look or function, but that was really moreso an issue on our end in providing unclear guidance. When those situations arose, Fifth Effect proved willing to work together to get us where we hoped.

Fifth Effect provides our team with monthly site development services. They are versatile in being able to handle any project we send their way. From front page module updates to checkout customizations, we rely on their team to continuously improve our eCommerce site.

Yes, we use Trello to manage all ongoing/scheduled projects. Additionally, we have biweekly calls.

They were incredibly responsive, met project deadlines, and were able to provide excellent value for their services.

We are working to provide a project template to ensure all teams are aligned on each project's objectives. We recently had a project involving internal miscommunication (not Fifth Effect's fault) that led to unnecessary work.
