We are a Foundry of standard and special steels.

Founded in 1962, the F.A.R. Fonderie Acciaierie Roiale S.p.A. specialized in producing wear-resistant steel used as spare parts in crushing machines.

Research and Development

FAR Spa has its quality control laboratory equipped with the latest computerized equipment. It is managed by skilled and trained staff to conduct chemical and physical tests on finished products and the raw material used to produce the products.

According to FAR’s sustainability strategy, every new R&D project launched has to set targets concerning environmental efficiency. This is also one way to further develop our responsiveness to customer expectations. In developing this new technology, we applied modern data analytics to an industry-specific processing challenge. Using this approach, we will continue to improve upon existing manufacturing processes to offer better, more vital parts for a wide range of applications.

The project is financed by POR FESR 2014-2020, activity 1.3 DGR n. 1232/2017 with an expenditure amounting to 305,50_2.25 euros and a contribution amounting to 72,264.95 euros.

The FAR project's main task is to develop new technologies to increase the wear resistance of Mn steels.
