BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

My organization is in the foodservice industry, where we provide basically any equipment except for food. We supply restaurants, casinos, and schools with dishware, glassware, and large kitchen equipment.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with FalcoMatics?

We were about two years into using an accounting program called Odoo, and we were having some problems as far as making the platform work with our processes and business strategies. FalcoMatics came in to help us adapt to Odoo.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

FalcoMatics helps us with everything under the Odoo platform. Their services includes solving day-to-day issues, such as products not moving fluidly through the process. Additionally, the team has also provided full-on app building. They created a user-friendly mobile app to help our drivers with delivering and printing. It’s linked to our platform, and it was built for Android.

What is the team composition?

I work with Shelton (Odoo Analyst) and the owner.

How did you come to work with FalcoMatics?

They’re a local company, and we like the idea of working with someone local.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent about $15,000–$30,000. We have them on a monthly retainer.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in December 2019, and it’s ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They’ve implemented everything we needed them to. The team is quick to work on any issues, so it’s been fantastic. Additionally, the app they built has allowed us to adopt a completely wireless electronic delivery system.

How did FalcoMatics perform from a project management standpoint?

FalcoMatics’ communication skills are excellent — we constantly message back and forth, and it’s working out very well. We never struggle to get answers to any of our questions. We primarily interface through Microsoft Teams using the chat and video call feature, along with the occasional email and phone calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Overall, they’re easy to work with. FalcoMatics is doing a great job.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I don’t have any complaints about the team.

Make sure that you communicate well and follow up with the team.
