I’m the senior marketing manager at Collins Aerospace. We provide aviation services, aircraft components, and avionics.

What challenge were you trying to address with Exhibit Concepts, Inc.?

We hired them for trade show support. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Exhibit Concepts, Inc. provides us with trade show support, which includes design and management. We work with them frequently — whenever we have an industry event we want to exhibit at, we contact them with the objectives we want to execute. Those objectives can range from new services and enhancements to reinforcing solutions we’ve already launched. 

We document our strategy and then connect with Exhibit Concepts, Inc. to bring them to life. They handle all the events services, including internet connections, electrical needs, monitor setup, and installation and dismantling of the booth. 

For each project, Exhibit Concepts, Inc.’s designer put together a concept based on our ideas and budget. They put together proposals that include the booth layout and structure design for us to review. We provide feedback and make adjustments until we reach a final product. 

Exhibit Concepts, Inc. creates technical drawings we pass along to our in-house creative team once the layout is complete. That team then produces graphics that follow our rigid branding guidelines. In parallel, they coordinate with the trade show, facilitating the exhibitor booth registration.

When the trade show starts, Exhibit Concepts, Inc. goes on-site to put together the booth. They use the graphics from our in-house team that they’ve printed and set up all the electronics and internet connections. By the time we arrive at the trade show, the entire booth is ready to go. We then inspect the booth, ensuring everything is working correctly and following our guidelines.

I work with Stephanie (Account Executive) and Chris (Account Executive), who coordinates with their operations team.

How did you come to work with Exhibit Concepts, Inc.?

A branch of our company is based in Cedar Rapid, Iowa, and has worked with Exhibit Concepts, Inc. before. They recommend Exhibit Concepts, Inc. to me. 

How much have you invested with them?

My business unit alone has invested $500,000 with Exhibit Concepts, Inc.

What is the status of this engagement?

I’ve been working continuously with Exhibit Concepts, Inc. since October 2019.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

It’s incredible that they can provide such a high level of support; they provide great value. The booths that Exhibit Concepts, Inc. produces stand out from all others at the trade shows we participate in. 

How did Exhibit Concepts, Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?

Their team is an absolute pleasure to work with. We have meetings on Zoom to discuss projects; they come to our in-house meetings so they can better understand our event planning. During the shows, Chris, Stephanie, and the team from Exhibit Concepts, Inc. comes on-site to manage the booth. 

Their team is very responsive. They deliver on time, no matter how close we are to a deadline — our team sometimes delays projects, which never seems to hinder their delivery time.  

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their design concepts stand out. They can execute our concepts, which we only deliver through documentation and conversations. Exhibit Concepts, Inc. translates those into compelling and engaging trade show booth designs. Chris easily understands what we are trying to accomplish with our concepts, even when we aren’t articulating ourselves well.

No, there is nothing for them to improve.
