What stood out most about Ewents was their ability to quickly identify and deploy highly skilled engineers who were a strong fit both technically and culturally. Unlike many staffing firms, the three founders are hands-on software engineers who speak fluent English and actively contribute strategic and technical guidance. They consistently went beyond simple staff augmentation by helping us think through architecture decisions, delivery risks, and long-term scalability, acting more like a true technology partner than a vendor

Technical communication with our leadership team could have been smoother, but overall, they
have been doing an excellent job

Ewents helped us identify a software engineer with extensive backend (Python) experience who was able to build out significant portions of our platform based on the prototype model and our detailed guidance.

We were able to continue development at a pace that fit our budget while pivoting quickly as objectives and priorities evolved, occasionally due to circumstances beyond our control.

The Ewents management team is incredibly responsive. The engineer has been considered an integral part of our team from day one, so most of our interaction is with him, but from a management standpoint the Ewents team responds to emails within hours at the longest and always made themselves available to speak by Zoom when needed.

Very responsive, eager to help but -- importantly -- respectful of our timeline, budget, and priorities. Others we have worked with have occasionally sought to push additional resources at us but Ewents has delivered as promised without trying to pad their revenue at our expense.

Ewents provides us with an engineer who responds to tickets, writes code, and works on-call shifts. The team is responsible for maintaining and improving legacy code and being ready at a moment’s notice for an outage that requires urgent attention.

Ewents has been responsible for finding, vetting, completing background checks, and managing contractors. The team has managed a mobile developer, a backend engineer, and a frontend developer.

The engineers are pushing code. We will have a product ready to enter the market in the next month or two. We plan to use weekly stand-ups and demo days as KPIs to evaluate the success of the product once it's launched.

We needed help with Azure compliance with the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) standard.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Ewents is designing and building an Azure landing zone environment compliant with the FedRAMP high standard. This environment will be leveraged by 38North's customers to more easily meet the FedRAMP requirements. The team has delivered diagrams, documentation, Terraform code, and customer presentations. The environment includes the complete network architecture and all the border and internal security services.

We work with two teammates from Ewents so far, more are on the way.

The job consisted on designing and programming an app, from zero to the end. Now we are in the testing stage. Ewents had to take every detail into account, embrace the whole idea and not only desing the screens when we started but also and develop the whole software.

Every time there was an update, Ewents showed it to me via Whatsapp or through a private videocall. This allowed me to see progress frequently.
