We partnered with Euristiq to develop an intelligent road traffic monitoring system. Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.
During our introductory meeting, Euristiq’s team presented their 4D Framework (their approach to software development), which we found to be highly valuable given our needs and the lack of specific project requirements.
We began our collaboration with the "Discover" phase, during which we held a series of workshops to clarify our business and user needs. We also mapped out processes, assessed system architecture, and defined the current state.
In the "Decide" phase, we worked closely with the team to set clear priorities and analyze various options. This allowed us to define the desired state and project scope, identify risks, and explore potential solutions and costs, ultimately selecting the most cost-effective option.
Following the "Decide" phase, we moved into the "Design" phase, where we reviewed Euristiq’s proposed solution architecture and technical documentation, and received mockups for the project.
As the scope of work for the road traffic monitoring software project was defined during the Discover, Decide, and Design phases, we proceeded to the Development phase, with the goal of delivering a fully functional digital product within a strict nine-month timeframe. The project focused on ensuring the system could handle real-time data collection, processing, and reporting for a critical infrastructure object.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We started with the Discover phase, where Euristiq and our team studied the project’s requirements. Together, we researched and documented the technical needs, user expectations, and the fundamental architecture required to bring the intelligent traffic monitoring system to life. This stage was critical for us to understand all the project requirements, and make sure we did it right in a technical way but also ensure that we considered all aspects for a better user experience.
Then, Euristiq proceeded to the decide and design the system architecture — a detailed blueprint that mapped out how data would flow seamlessly from the camera sensors strategically placed within the tunnel, through the software, and finally, to the user interface. This architecture was not just about connecting components; it was about creating a robust framework that could handle the complexities of real-time traffic monitoring, ensuring that every piece of data was captured accurately and processed efficiently.
The next step for Euristiq was to plan the integration of advanced camera sensors into the system. These sensors were the eyes of the operation, continuously monitoring vehicle speed, traffic volume, and congestion levels within the tunnel. The real-time data collected by these sensors was the lifeblood of the system, providing the raw information needed to manage traffic effectively and ensure safety within the tunnel.
To transform this raw data into actionable insights, Euristiq developed data processing algorithms. These algorithms were designed to analyze traffic patterns, generate detailed reports, and offer a clear view of the traffic conditions at any given moment. The insights gained from this data were critical for operators to make informed decisions about traffic management and respond swiftly to any emerging issues.
Meanwhile, their UI/UX design team and our experts worked hand in hand to design a user interface that was not only functional but also intuitive. The result was a set of dashboards that allowed operators to easily view and interpret traffic data. The design focused on clarity and usability, ensuring that even the most complex data could be understood at a glance, empowering operators to manage the tunnel’s traffic flow with confidence.
We finished with the working market-ready product. Within just nine months, Euristiq and our team demonstrated the system’s ability to monitor, analyze, and report on traffic flow. The product is expected to be more than just a technical achievement; it’s proof that the vision conceived in the discovery phase could be realized, providing a powerful tool for managing critical infrastructures.
Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?
Our experience working with Euristiq on this project was highly positive, particularly when it came to their project management approach. From the outset, they demonstrated a strong commitment to meeting deadlines, ensuring that every phase of the project was completed on time. Their ability to keep the project on schedule was impressive, especially given the complexity of integrating real-time data processing with UI/UX design.
Euristiq's team was also very responsive to our needs. Whenever we had feedback or required adjustments to the UI/UX design, they were quick to accommodate our requests, always maintaining open and transparent communication. They understood the importance of collaboration, and their willingness to adapt and refine their work based on our input made the entire process smooth and efficient.
Overall, Euristiq managed the project with a high level of professionalism, delivering each milestone within the agreed timeline while also being attentive to the specific needs of our team. This strong partnership was crucial in achieving the successful outcome of the project.

Two engineers from Euristiq worked with us on Discovery, one Architect and a Senior Developer, and a Business Analyst. Additionally, we collaborated with Marketing and Content Specialists during workshops, and the company's CEO served as our initial contact, maintaining constant communication throughout the engagement.
To gain a thorough understanding of the requirements and expectations from the client, Euristiq took ownership of the process, organized workshops and calls, meticulously collecting all the necessary information. They asked the right questions and turned our attention to things we might have overlooked. Ultimately, they provided detailed documentation with the architecture, roadmap, and final UX/UI design. A medical services business and educational platform hired Euristiq to build a custom learning management system. Euristiq was given detailed documentation and a Figma file to begin the project.
After six weeks, Euristiq had only supplied the client with a Jira board. The client was highly unsatisfied with their experience with Euristiq and felt they were untrustworthy, showed no transparency throughout the process, and didn’t address any issues that arose. This review includes the vendor’s response.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a doctor for a medical services business and educational platform.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Euristiq?
We hired Euristiq for custom software development to build a comprehensive learning management system. We wanted to engage with another team to have a turnkey approach to the project.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
We gave Euristiq a detailed product design document and Figma design files. We went through the details with the architect from Euristiq and Ivan (CEO & Co-Founder) and fleshed out everything to ensure there was no room for ambiguity or vagueness. Once we were happy with the document and added additional features, we had a 50-page document with clickable wireframes.
After we agreed on everything, signed contracts, and made initial payments, we kicked off the project.
What is the team dynamic?
We had a team of approximately ten people.
How did you come to work with Euristiq?
We found them on Clutch. Initially, we reached out to Euristiq and met with Ivan, who told us that the project was something that they could deliver.
How much have you invested with them?
We invested £15,000 (approximately $18,000 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked with them between January–February 2022.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
How did your relationship with the vendor evolve?
Things were ticked off on the Jira file, and we started asking if we could see the progress. We didn’t want the project to be modified, and we wanted it to be bespoke from start to finish. We were not allowed to see GitHub or other repositories, and could only view everything from the incredibly limited customer perspective. From this perspective, we saw a very basic login feature, and none of the things ticked off on the Jira board seemed to be completed.
They started invoicing us for more money, which was a point of contention because we didn’t have any access and felt like what we saw was designed very poorly. At this point, we had already paid them £15,000 (approximately $18,000 USD), and we were questioning where that money was going.
They had also started to change what we had initially agreed upon, and Euristiq claimed that the Figma file was not part of the document. The contract stipulated that the Figma file and the documentation we had given them were to be treated as one entity.
When we refused to pay the £35,000 (approximately $47,000 USD), they stopped working on the project, and were unwilling to share what they had created at the source level. They only let us access what they wanted to share, which was what we could click on.
During our meetings, we always had a large group of people, but when we asked what they had done or completed, they were unable to answer the question. Euristiq was unwilling to give the money back and told us to go back and get more detail on the project before they could continue. The only thing that was built was a Jira board.
The Russian Invasion of Ukraine started about a week after we stopped working together, so everything came to a halt at that point. We were contacted later to continue the project, which we did not do.
Describe the impact this engagement has had on your business.
They had a very negative impact on our business. Financially, we lost money, and we have nothing to show for it. They continued to push us for money and even asked for it early. They unilaterally stopped the engagement and refused to share anything further.
How was project management handled?
We used a Jira board, a Confluence board, and communicated via Slack. The project was broken down into milestones in a comprehensive and detailed manner. We met twice a week. The process was unorganized and the communication was not good.
How did Euristiq address the challenges that arose?
They didn’t address any of the issues that arose. They would not let us look at anything and would not share any of the work.
Is there anything that the vendor did well or that you would consider a strength?
They are very good in the initial engagement.
In what specific areas can they improve?
They can improve on understanding the project's scope and ensure they understand it before pushing for payment. They could also be more transparent and not hide behind vague statements and confusion.
What advice do you have for clients with similar needs to yours?
Don’t be trusting of people, and be very limited in how much you initially pay people. Break the payments down into smaller chunks so that if you do lose money, it won’t break the bank entirely. You might also consider hiring someone outside of the company you’re working with to keep an eye on all the progress being made.
Company Responses
The vendor responded on April 4, 2023.
Dear Ibrar Ahmed,
Our cooperation was based on the Agreement from December 28, 2021, signed between you and us. The services had to be delivered according to the milestones. The same way they had to be paid. By signing Agreement, you agreed upon advance payment of the Project kickoff phase according to the payment plan. We sent you Invoice#1 – you paid it – we proceeded to work under Project kickoff. As Agreement stipulates, this stage doesn’t have any deliverables to be transferred. After a Milestone #1 was over, we sent you Invoice#2 for proceeding. The weeks flew, however, the payment under Invoice#2 (invoice due by March 1, 2022) has been never received.
Therefore, we have been forced to suspend services provision on the basis of cl. C) of Section 14 of the Agreement. As an outcome of your failure to pay, you have not received access to the source code and could not objectively evaluate the quality of the services provided. To be precise, we refer to the Exhibit to the Agreement, where it is specified that source code related to the appropriate Milestone should be delivered to the Client after successful payment. Therefore, the allegations contained in your review are unfounded.
We have always been in touch with you, our managers and consultants contacted you many times and have tried to explain the actual state of affairs. We have never experienced this situation before, so in case you’d notified us of the non-payment problem in advance, we’d certainly look for a way to solve the situation.

A pre-construction value management estimation tool provider needed developers that would understand the features they were planning to implement. They hired Euristiq to provide the necessary services.
The company is satisfied with the deliverable that the Euristiq team provides for them on a monthly basis. Each one has was of high quality with evidence of thorough analysis that fits well with the user story. This means the team understands the goals that the company is trying to reach.
The client submitted this review online.
BACKGROUND
Please describe your company and your position there.
I am a co-founder of a pre-construction value management estimation tool used to create efficiencies in projects. I primarily handle product management and operations.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
For what projects/services did your company hire Euristiq, and what were your goals?
We needed developers that would be able to understand the unique and custom features required to build a website from scratch. We are budget conscious and were looking for a company that we could partner with that would provide:
high quality services
clear understanding of deliverables and timelines
professionalism.
SOLUTION
How did you select Euristiq and what were the deciding factors?
We contacted several companies like Euristiq. After receiving proposals back from Euristiq and others, we went with Euristiq because of the high level of up front detailed analysis put into the proposal.
Additionally, the CEO and CTO were extremely friendly and informative throughout the pre-SOW phase.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
Full MVP phase development (from scratch) of a web-application that harnesses grid technology (AG Grid) and Stripe integration.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
Initially, we worked with Ivan, the CEO of Euristiq. He eventually brought on 2 - 3 additional senior developers (CTO and senior tech lead) to discuss high level requirements. Now, we have a full scrum team (3-4 developers, 1 QA, and 1 project manger) that work with us in an Agile framework.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
We have 2 week sprints. After each sprint there is a detailed sprint demo coordinated and led by the development team. These sprint demos correlate with the delivery milestones documented in the Project plan.
The deliverables I've received so far have been of high quality. There is evidence of thorough analysis in the requirements so that the end result matches the true problem statement of each user story.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.
Email, Teams, Jira, and Confluence.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Extreme diligence and professionalism. Additionally, Euristiq seems to really care about building the right things. This means, they try to understand the "why" behind building something before doing the work.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
None that I can think of.

After conducting a performance review of an Angular-based language platform, Euristiq worked to improve the UI/UX design of the tool. The team also provided suggestions for the design.
Euristiq’s efforts resulted in a sleek, smooth, and user-friendly UI/UX that was well received. The team manages the project well and brings strong expertise to the table. Whenever issues have come up, the team has been accommodating and willing to make changes as necessary.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CTO of an IT consulting business.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Euristiq?
We have a multilingual, multichannel language processing platform that was built by engineers, and we needed somebody to provide good UI/UX resources. We wanted someone who would look at the bigger picture and help us determine the best UI/UX.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Euristiq worked on our Angular platform. They brought on somebody to make what we had done look and feel better, and they also provided decent suggestions in terms of what experience would be best. One of their teammates provided a high-level performance review of our current state.
What is the team composition?
We worked with two teammates, including a senior engineer or architect.
How did you come to work with Euristiq?
I had worked with them on another project.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent about €14,000 (approximately $16,000 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
We began working with them in August 2020, and our engagement is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The UX is smoother and easier to use. We’ve received a good reaction from our sales events. It looks cleaner.
How did Euristiq perform from a project management standpoint?
Their project management is good. Our full-time engineer operates as a part of our team, which works well.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Euristiq knows what they’re doing in the UI/UX space.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, there’s nothing they could do better. Initially, they had trouble meeting my expectations, but the senior leadership was very understanding and dismissed some candidates. They eventually adopted the level that I expected.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Make sure you understand all of your requirements ahead of time. The more they know, the better they can serve you.

Euristiq provides staff augmentation services, assisting with several development projects. They've specifically worked on Go programming tasks.
Euristiq delivers top-class work in adherence to project timelines and budgets. Not only are they committed to meeting the business' needs, but they are also willing to go above and beyond to do so. Additionally, the team is adaptable and able to pivot as needed in a fast-paced working environment.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CTO at a company that provides solutions in identity management, identity verification, and data sharing for government, financial, and other public markets.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Euristiq?
We needed to add to our development capacity.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Euristiq augments our development capacity in areas of development where we need a fast turnaround and engineering expertise in Go. They’ve worked on many projects for us.
What is the team composition?
There’s a team of 20, and I interact with Ivan (CEO). We work with their operational leads, their chief architect, and their development lead, among others.
How did you come to work with Euristiq?
We did a search for companies that could provide such services. Euristiq came to us proactively, and we almost found them by mistake. We had good cohesion with their management team.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent over $1 million.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in January 2018, and our engagement is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ve been very happy with the quality of service they’ve provided. They deliver on time and within budget. The team delivers quality work.
How did Euristiq perform from a project management standpoint?
We have regular standup meetings, and the development team has daily standups. We have management meetings probably once a week and sometimes bi-weekly. I also meet with a CTO partner every month. Euristiq meets deadlines all of the time. We use Atlassian and Confluence.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They are responsive to our needs, have the ability to adjust to fast changes in the requirements, and will work overtime.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, there are no problems.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Using remote development organizations is always an interesting proposition for everyone. Sometimes it’s hard to adjust using the remote development organization.
I strongly recommend embedding Euristiq’s developers in the teams of their potential clients so that it’s not an “us and them” attitude and it’s always a team effort. I advise clients to understand who the lead is on Euristiq’s side so that they have someone to rely on.

Euristiq provides development outsourcing services. Their resources function as an extension of the internal team and work in a variety of technologies, including .NET, Angular, and cloud-based solutions.
Euristiq has facilitated a successful partnership by providing highly qualified, knowledgeable, and ambitious resources. They accommodate internal project management preferences, such as working in sprints and using Azure DevOps, and remain flexible to working with different teams and technologies.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I work for Octopus Group. We are primarily in investment financial services, but we also do energy, healthcare, and P2P lending. I am the VP of engineering, so I look after the engineering test delivery function.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Euristiq?
We operate agile teams that are based around products. I wanted some offshore resources to bolster our teams. The main aim was to have cost-effective resources with specific technical knowledge. It’s difficult to find good, inexpensive technical knowledge in the UK, so I resolved that by going offshore.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Because we work in a team extension model, Euristiq’s resources have worked on a whole host of tasks. I engage and treat them as if they are full-time employees, and they work on many things. They have needed to be very adaptable to different projects and skills.
I have a frontend developer who works in Angular and backend developers who work in the .NET stack. They are proficient in writing C# code in .NET, but also very good at working in cloud-based solutions. They’re good at Azure DevOps and automation, such as building CI/CD pipelines in DevOps. They also have database knowledge. I wouldn’t say the backend runs a full-stack because they don’t do much on the frontend, but they certainly are experts in a range of different technologies on the backend, including database and backend components.
What is the team composition?
Currently, we have four people from their team working with us.
How did you come to work with Euristiq?
I needed to find offshore resources, but it was challenging finding people directly via word of mouth. I decided to find vendors that would find those people for me. I contacted different companies that I found through various sources. I interviewed the companies to make sure they were the right fit for us; that included meeting some of our compliance requirements around data security and things like that. We also wanted to make sure they were the right cultural fit and that they were willing to work with us in the way we wanted to work, i.e. the team engagement model, and that they weren’t going to try and push us down the project route. Based on an initial discussion with Ivan (CEO), Euristiq was a suitable fit.
How much have you invested in them?
We have spent around £300,000 (approximately $370,000 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
We imported our first resource from them in July 2018. We’re still working with them.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Of all the vendors I work with, and I have a few, they have provided the best quality engineers at a very good price. The engineers have been more junior, but they’ve actually come in with mid–senior level experience. They have done a really good job and been team players. They are very ambitious and keen to learn, which is a good challenge for me. They are from a university town, so I think they have the pick of the crop. They have been knowledgeable.
How did Euristiq perform from a project management standpoint?
We are agile, so it is on a week-to-week basis. They report directly to a dev team lead who manages their work. They work in sprints, so it changes every two weeks. We have to move them around to different teams every now and then, and they are fine with that. They are very adaptable.
We use Kanban boards. We were using Clubhouse, but at the moment, we are using Jira and Azure DevOps.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I would say their technical knowledge and willingness to take stuff on set them apart. It is a challenge for us to make sure they have stretched targets because they always want to learn more.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, they have been fine actually. They are the easiest vendor to work with, and I have no complaints at all.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I interviewed everyone on their team, and I think that worked well. If you want a successful team, you need people who are the right cultural as much as technical fit. They have generally come up with really good candidates.
I would also say that you need to keep communication open; they are an intelligent and ambitious lot, and they want to know what is going on all the time. They want to know what they will be working on next. Keeping them engaged and maintaining open communication lines is important.

Euristiq provides development staff augmentation services to a software solutions provider. They’ve helped transform services for a furniture retail company as well as develop a corporate security app.
Euristiq has facilitated a positive client experience by rapidly assimilating with the internal team, delivering high-quality code, and communicating seamlessly. Proactive and professional, the team maintains strong technical expertise and provides valuable consultations. They adhere to deadlines.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am the CEO of Rolique. We are a web and mobile development company.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Euristiq?
As an agency, we work on high-profile projects. Sometimes we need expertise or a team extension really quickly, and that was the main reason we got in touch with Euristiq.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
We involved Euristiq so that we could extend our technical team on short notice. We’ve worked on two projects with them. One project was the transformation of services for an international furniture retail company, and the other project was the development of a corporate security application. One of the projects was short-term and lasted three months. The other project is ongoing, and we have been working on it for eight months so far.
What is the team composition?
Euristiq has provided us with three engineers for the two projects. One person is still working on the existing project, and the two other people from their team were part of the short-term project of three months. We’ve been happy with all three of them.
How did you come to work with Euristiq?
I know the founder of Euristiq, and that is how I got in touch with them. We went through their recruiting process to try and understand what their skill level was. We were surprised that the culture and tech expertise that they had were exactly what we were looking for.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them for the first time in August 2019, and the work is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The first metric is the ease of onboarding. We onboarded them really quickly, and they rapidly assimilated into our team. They work diligently and contribute a great deal to the projects. We track the work through Jira and GitHub, and we also do code reviews. The code quality, level of performance, and communication are all on a really high level. I can also point out that their thought skills are very good, and they have an excellent command of English in general.
How did Euristiq perform from a project management standpoint?
We use Jira, Slack, and GitHub, and we’ve never had a problem with a failed deadline or lack of communication. In general, communication and commitments have always been met. Communication is on a really good level, in my opinion.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’ve gone the extra mile on assignments that we’ve given them. They think outside of the tasks given and think about the product, which is very important. They provide valuable technical consultations, which we very much appreciate. In general, all of the people who have come through Euristiq are proactive and professional, which we also appreciate a lot.
Are there any areas they could improve?
We are super happy with them. Any issues, even if they were minor, have been solved right away, so I cannot even call those issues.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
You can trust them. I have to point out that the CEO and CTO are very helpful. They are tech-savvy, and you can rely on them. They are professional and have a great level of tech expertise.

Our Story
Since 2016, Euristiq has modernized systems too expensive to maintain and too fragile to change — and built new products right from day one. 300+ projects later, that's still the work, across fintech, energy, travel, healthcare, and education. AI-native by default: our 4D approach ships 2× faster and cheaper.
For us the tech is never the label — the business pain is. Every engagement starts with what's costing you money, time, or customers, and ends with software that measurably changes it.
Meet the Team
Ivan MutsCEO
CEO and product strategist with 17+ years in custom software and AI transformation. Works directly with clients on AI-native strategy, legacy modernization, and cloud — turning business pain into scoped, fundable roadmaps.
Pavlo TkhirCTO

Vasyl LenkoSolution Architect
Solution architect with 15+ years designing enterprise systems built to last 10+ years. PhD in Systems Analysis. Leads discovery and target-state architecture for modernization and platform consolidation programs.
