What challenge were you trying to address with ERUDITE?

We needed help improving the speed and performance of our Magento website. Using Magento comes with a range of challenges, so we needed a knowledgeable partner to help us overcome those challenges and manage our technical SEO.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

ERUDITE helps us manage our Magento website and its technical SEO, and they help us come up with SEO strategies around our services. For example, we have a locksmithing service. Before ERUDITE joined, our service was announced on a single page of our website with just a few articles. Therefore, they helped us build a localized strategy around that service.

ERUDITE helped us figure out that most people look for local locksmiths online whenever they need one. Thus, their strategy centered around generating SEO content regarding our service to target local customers. They also helped us create our business profile in Google Maps so that we would appear on local searches. The purpose of this strategy was to drive traffic and generate leads for our locksmithing service.

ERUDITE’s strategies have two sides to them. On the one hand, they create a content strategy, which includes keyword research and competitive research. On the other hand, they work on technical SEO, which includes improving the performance of scripts written in Java, updating links, and interlinking.

What is the team composition?

We work with Megan (SEO Consultant), who acts as our account manager, Ramona (Head of Client Services), Nichola (Founder & Chair), and Andrew (Sales Director).

How did you come to work with ERUDITE?

I found them on Clutch. I use Clutch whenever I’m on the urge to find prospective partners. For this project, we sent out an RFP to 5–10 companies, after which we invited 3–4 companies to present their pitch. Then, we narrowed down our options to two: ERUDITE and another agency. ERUDITE’s proposal was the most comprehensive, and their approach was the most flexible regarding the strategy, so we hired them.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around £130,000 (approximately $158,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together around January 20212, and our engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

ERUDITE has worked alongside our development team, and they’ve ultimately improved our site’s performance, Google positioning, and overall rankings. Before we started working together, around 11% of our web pages ranked on the first page of search results, 30% of pages ranked on the second page, and the rest ranged on pages 3–12 of search results. Since then, ERUDITE has managed to get 21% of our web pages to page one of Google search results, which has helped us improve our organic traffic,  visibility, and brand awareness.

How did ERUDITE perform from a project management standpoint?

ERUDITE is very organized and flexible. We had some business challenges around 2020, but they were still very flexible in supporting our needs. Moreover, they’ve never overcharged us; they’ve always delivered within budget or below budget.

Megan is excellent to work with. She’s also very organized, and she always comes up with a good agenda for the project. We use monday.com to manage the project.

What did you find most impressive about them?

ERUDITE’s flexibility and technical knowledge are their biggest strengths.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Initially, ERUDITE had some challenges with working with our development team; it took them some time to understand our business and how we operate. Moreover, they faced some issues with our website’s structure. Still, they adapted to those challenges, coming up with a strategy that drives results and takes into account those challenges.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Try to keep up with the workload because ERUDITE provides a lot of strategies and input in a small amount of time.
