What challenge were you trying to address with Envisage Digital?

I needed to get frontend development of a website, and a CMS. I wanted it done in Laravel, and was looking for a custom-built platform in Magento to ensure a very fast loading/functioning website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

I had created a document based on the raw functions I needed each section of the website to do, from the CMS to the frontend. I also had some designs that had previously been custom created. They created a custom affiliate network platform. It allows me to add merchants, run tracking of order, and more.

Additionally, they created a WordPress blog for us and provided maintenance and support. Envisage Digital was responsible for working in HTML and CSS, and the actual PHP development.

What is the team composition?

There are several people I interact with, including two account managers, the director, and a couple of developers.

How did you come to work with Envisage Digital?

I created a sample project for agencies to do. Based on the delivery of that project, I chose this company as the partner I wanted to work with. They put the most care and understanding, and added extra. For example, they created some animation.

How much have you invested with them?

We have invested between $65,000 - $80,000. The initial project was $20,000, and we have spent $15,000 - $20,000 a year since then.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together around May 2017, and it is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The website has been live for roughly two years now. We get 60,000 visitors per month. It’s quick, doing what it needs to, regardless of the traffic amount. Regarding their development, they thoroughly test for bugs, do browser testing, and we rarely have any bugs. I’m very comfortable with all the services they offer, and overall very happy with them.

How did Envisage Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

The two account managers use Teamwork for project management. They communicate well. My requirements are loaded at the beginning of each month, and then delegated to the team. They always deliver on time. They’re responsive. We have a ticketing system in place; I input what needs to be done, flagging the high priority tasks. They usually get those done the same day. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They exceeded my expectations, delivering functions I didn’t even know I wanted or needed. Everything worked pretty well.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be clear on the expected deliverables. Collaborate on the planning side of things at the beginning.
