ENNEID performed an external penetration test where they scanned all of our outward-facing websites to check if they could gain access to our applications. They were also given access to our internal applications so they could pinpoint issues that could potentially compromise our systems. They reported back to us with the results of these two different scans

We were impressed by the information they were able to gather about our security systems. We were grateful for the data we received from the reports they provided.

Emmeid has done phishing and other tests on our platforms to ensure we’re secure. After the tests, they report their assessments and give us recommendations. The other tests they’ve done include network testing, general security testing, and website testing. Moreover, the team has set up our KnowBe4 platform for cybersecurity training and compliance documentation.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We like the in-depth knowledge of ENNEID’s resources. Our network and website are definitely more secure now.

All deadlines are agreed upon between our teams, and we’re always on track with the timelines we put in place. ENNEID has a platform where we can interact with the team. We can enter our questions into the platform and receive partial reports and recommendations. At the end of every test, we get an entire report generated by the platform. It has plenty of terrific information available to us. We also use Teams and have access to monday.com.

I’m impressed with their knowledge and their platform because everything is there. It’s easy to get the reports they produce because they’re all on the platform.

No, there aren’t any. I wouldn’t do anything differently since everything’s going well.

ENNEID was asked to perform blackbox penetration tests given only the URL of our management portal. In a follow-up phase they were given various types of accounts in our environment as well as access to the API documentation and some explanation on our portal, which enabled them to do a greybox pentest. The deliverable was a report on their findings with clear explanations on each finding for the purpose of validation.

The concrete questions of pentesters via Slack and the ultimate delivery of the blackbox and greybox reports.

There was good communication, and the project was completed within the agreed timeframe. When asked for further clarification the response came quickly and was completely to our satisfaction.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They do not ask for a blank cheque and the communication lines are very short. They are no-nonsense, which also means you don't get to pay for nonsense and overhead.

Are there any areas for improvement or something ENNEID could have done differently?

If I need to mention 1 thing, then maybe send a small ping when the actual pentest starts. We knew what week we agreed on of course. Maybe a ping when the tester is hitting "Send" on his first request... but yeah, that is just being extremely picky. We were very pleased with how the project went.

We retained ENNEID to perform a penetration test of their external network. The tests were performed in a production environment. A penetration test was conducted to identify and verify the presence of security weaknesses and vulnerabilities within the targeted systems and components.

A report was produced to reflect the findings of this project and help our organization improve the security status of our different target systems and components against threats and risks. The goal is to minimize risk and reach a level of security that meets our expectations, thus ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our information assets.

For each of the security vulnerabilities identified, ENNEID presented the technical details, the level of risk as well as the list of recommendations and appropriate mitigation strategies. The penetration testing methodology used in this project is based on the industry’s best practices and is continually updated to reflect the changing nature of IT as well as the latest attack methods employed by hackers.
