Please describe your company and your position there.

Dressember Foundation is an anti human trafficking nonprofit organization. I am the CEO and Founder.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Emblem Media Productions, and what were your goals?

We hired Emblem Media to produce and edit a short film for us outlining our origin story, our mission, the problem of human trafficking, and our solution, with a strong call to action to viewers to be part of our work. Our goals were for thousands of people to see the film, and hundreds to join as fundraisers, dozens as monthly supporters.

How did you select Emblem Media Productions and what were the deciding factors?

Emblem has an impressive portfolio of work. Blaire is a compassionate and detail oriented leader, and I knew her vision for the film aligned with mine. She is respectful and asked thoughtful questions along the way to ensure she was capturing my vision.

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail, including the project steps and all stages of production.

We started with a discovery meeting. They spent time gaining an understanding of our mission before collaborating with a director to create a story outline and voiceover script. In the end, they delivered a 17-minute film compelling people to join in our work. They handled the voiceover and gave us a short trailer version to use to promote the film.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

I worked with Blaire and Erin, who sent new versions of the film weekly based on the prior weeks' feedback and requests. We used Frame to communicate feedback, which made the editing process quick and minimized confusion.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We premiered the film to our community at a small screening event and received rave reviews. We also distributed the film via email and social media to our wider, international audience. We then invested in paid advertising to boost the film on social and youtube. We've seen an uptick in new monthly donors as a result-- about 20 new monthly donors in the first month.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Blaire was easy to communicate with and provided frequent updates. We mostly used Frame and email to communicate since I had multiple other projects going on simultaneously. We also set up weekly zoom meetings to discuss new drafts.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They had great ideas and suggestions that made our story stronger.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Nothing I can think of-- they're terrific!
