Elastic Mint is a Bristol-based bespoke software consultancy founded in 2018 by Andy Garner and Gordon Barrs, both with over 20 years of software development experience at companies including Just Eat, ASOS, Tesco, and Preqin.
We work with growing businesses that need experienced developers, not a team of juniors managed from a distance. Every engagement is led directly by Andy or Gordon — from the first conversation through to delivery. That means faster decisions, fewer handoffs, and software that actually fits how the business works.
Our primary stack is .NET, Azure, and React/Next.js. We build new products from scratch, modernise legacy systems, and provide fractional CTO support for founders who need senior technical input without a full-time hire.
Clients have included Millbrook Healthcare (NHS community equipment platform modernisation), HWWA Consulting (employee benefits mobile app, delivered MVP in 10 weeks), PEI Group (data import and visualisation for financial media), and the University of Bath (assistive technology for visual impairments). We have also delivered work embedded within engineering teams at Preqin and for enterprise clients in financial services and retail.
