Emano Flow harnesses the power of machine learning to equip patients and practitioners with a comprehensive understanding of one's urinary health. Our easy to use software allows patients to capture audio of their urinations from their smartphone in the comfort of their own home. Flow rate data is accurately predicted using our rigorous machine learning technology and results are seamlessly shared with providers through a secure provider portal allowing for real-time monitoring. Providers are armed with a simple presentation of flow data and an objective representation of a patient’s urinary health, deepening both patient and provider confidence in their diagnostic and treatment decisions. Emano Metrics was founded by two physicists interested in healthcare innovation. This interest originated from the experience of their fathers, a urologist and a nephrologist who illuminated opportunities to benefit patients as well as practitioners.

This project involved the design and development of a synchronized audio recording MVP connecting a React Native mobile application (iOS and Android) with a Raspberry Pi–based system. The work included implementing NTP-based time synchronization over Wi-Fi to ensure precise clock alignment between devices, enabling high-fidelity, raw (unprocessed, lossless) audio recording on both platforms, and integrating scale system support on the Raspberry Pi. The mobile app was built to automatically discover the Raspberry Pi on the local network, calculate and maintain time offset, capture detailed microphone metadata (device name, sample rate, bit depth, etc.), and display real-time synchronization and connectivity status.

In addition, the system included Bluetooth microphone detection and prevention to protect audio quality and timing accuracy, complete with user-friendly pre-recording validation and error messaging. The engagement covered research, technical evaluation, proof-of-concept development, full implementation, performance testing under varying network conditions, end-to-end integration, and final documentation. Deliverables included technology evaluation reports, updated technical specifications, validated raw audio recording components for both platforms, a fully functional NTP synchronization system, Bluetooth detection modules, performance and testing reports, user documentation, and a complete integrated MVP.

Their project management was excellent from start to finish. They delivered key milestones on time (or proactively communicated when scope or technical unknowns could impact timing), and their estimates for timeline and budget were consistently accurate and well thought out. They broke the work into clear phases with defined deliverables, which made progress easy to track and gave us strong confidence throughout the engagement.

They were also extremely responsive to our needs—communication was clear, thorough, and professional, and they regularly provided updates without being prompted. What stood out most was their ability to execute effectively with minimal direction: they were able to move quickly, solve complex technical challenges independently, and accomplish a significant amount of work without requiring heavy oversight or extensive setup from our side. Overall, they were highly reliable, proactive, and a pleasure to work with.

What impressed me most was how effectively they combined deep technical expertise with strong organization and communication. They were able to take a complex, highly specialized project and turn it into a clear, structured plan with realistic milestones, accurate estimates, and well-defined deliverables. Their ability to work independently with minimal direction—while still keeping us fully informed—was genuinely unique and made the entire process feel smooth and low-risk.

They also stood out for being extremely proactive and detail-oriented. They anticipated challenges before they became issues, provided thoughtful recommendations instead of just executing tasks, and consistently delivered high-quality results. Overall, they operate with a level of professionalism, clarity, and reliability that is rare, especially on technically complex work.

Configure Chord Board to work as VST/AU and Portrait on Desktop for Hand Board, moving certain functionality from MainScreen into a new Controller class. Change the UI for setting Transport, integrating with DAW host transport, tempo, save song as plug-in state instead of an XML file.
Should work as a MIDI FX (or MIDI generator) as well as a synth. Create separate downloadable installs for Windows, Mac, VST3 (Windows/Mac), AU (Mac), iPad. Automate the installs as much as possible and create step-by-step instructions. Merge Paywall work into final installs

Edge completed all the milestones required in a timely fashion and within budget.

Edge provided two developers, one of which was the project manager. Both responded reapidly to my communications. All deleries were on time.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The most impressive thing I found about Edge was the level of documentation of their work that went head and shoulders above nearly all developers I've worked with in my 35+ years of software development. The attention to detail is something that you really cannot teach. Edge Audio Labs appears to have been built into their culture and is greatly appreciated. 

Are there any areas for improvement or something Edge Audio Labs could have done differently?

As with all software development projects, the key to success is communication of deliverables. Edge always focused on clear deliverables, but somtimes the deliverables were hazy because the project was new to them, so they did their best. Any deficiency on that end was minimal, and was probably more my deficiency in not explaining things clearly. What Edge did was receive the clarification and do the work without complaining or asking for more money, demonstrating a desire for a long-term relationship. In turn, I gave a bonus at the end of the milestone in fairness and recognition of Edge going above and beyond, which they acknowledged and appreciated.

Cantai’s launch resulted in over 100 preorders within the first two days, strong interest from major music software companies, and early adoption by composers and producers worldwide. The platform successfully delivered seamless AI-driven vocal rendering, achieving professional-grade realism that matched or exceeded client expectations, with measurable increases in engagement and user retention during beta testing.
