DPE Deutsche Private Equity (DPE) is an independent German investment company that invests in SMEs in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Founded in 2007 in Munich, DPE has since successfully launched five funds. DPE thus manages total assets of € 3.0 billion.
DPE sees itself as “entrepreneur for entrepreneurs”, investing growth capital in “Mittelstand” companies in German-speaking Europe.
For many years, DPE has been elected best European Growth Private Equity Fund and best German, Austrian & Swiss LBO Fund by Private Equity Exchange & Awards.
Since our foundation, we have invested in more than 40 companies both as majority and minority shareholders and pursued over 100 add-on investments as well as in creating more than 4,767 new jobs.
Our businesses currently employ approx. 10,653 people. We are proud of the achievements of the entrepreneurs, whom we support as active partners during the course of their expansion – with growth capital, experience, trust, respect and all the support that a corporate family such as ours can offer.
DPE’s investors are institutional investors who invest for the long-term such as family offices, insurances, pension and umbrella funds. In addition, DPE has more than 60 private investors with whom DPE has worked together, for example in roles in DPE’s advisory board or within its portfolio of companies.
