Since its inception, the company has grown to be one of the largest independently owned real estate brokerages in the country. The modern day history started in July of 1992 when David Frye and Michelle Frye implemented the current 100 percent commission concept. Amazingly, 90% of the 1992 Downing-Frye employees are still with the company today.
