We are a digital media company focused on millennial women. I'm the Product Manager.

For what projects/services did your company hire DODO Design Agency?

The website development of our community and business websites. Also, the UI design of our mobile app.

What were your goals for this project?

We needed new websites to better communicate our value to our target audience and encourage partnerships. We also needed a very engaging design for our app.

How did you select this vendor?

I had considered other companies outside the country until I found them online and I loved their portfolio so far.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

The project comprised of redesigning our existing website and brand new app which DODO team began by carrying out user research of our community and using the data to design a new experience.

With mockups, they validated the designs with a focus group, made updates based on feedback before commencing development. The website had to tell our story, specifically outlining our offerings and encourage brands to partner with us. However, the app had to have the feel of a vibrant place to connect and learn.

What was the team composition?

The team was a size of 7. While some were permanent other changed over time as required.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Our new website has been rated 4.5 since its launch. The feedback has been great and I'm happy our community has a better understanding of what we offer.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Project management was arranged via daily stand ups on Slack and demo calls with demo calls at the end of each sprint. Communication was timely and deadlines were met except otherwise communicated with barriers to delivery.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I found the designs to be innovative and really clean. Also, the transparent communication was a relief.

Are there any areas for improvement?

A few things: - Better way to take inventory of all assets shared for easy referral without coming back to client - Creating more touch points with the creatives/engineers so communication isn't lost

Website design, development, maintenance and ongoing support.

What were your goals for this project?

Effectively get a newly designed Website up and running for ILF as quickly as possible. Begin to see increased Website traffic to our site. Continue to make improvements to the Website as we go along.

How did you select this vendor?

This vendor was selected because of their excellent work in Web development on the continent of Africa. ILF began it's movement in Africa and we wanted to make certain to keep our Website development there if possible. DODO's reputation made them a clear choice for our nonprofit.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

DODO began the project by asking our team numerous questions about what we wanted and needed for our Website. They were very meticulous in working with each person on our team and actually established a communication network so that everyone would be "on the same page" at any time during the process.

Beyond the development phase, DODO is working to help us boost our Web traffic and continue ongoing updates to keep the content fresh and noticeable. They continue to consult with us and help maintain the site.

What was the team composition?

In the beginning phase of the project, we primarily worked with about three main project personnel. Since the bulk of the project has been completed, we work with 1-2 project managers to keep the site well maintained.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

ILF has noted a marked increase in our Website traffic since engaging with DODO as our Website Development and Management company. We are grateful to them for how forthright they have been and how they continually encourage our team to keep the Website up to date.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Project management was arranged via a platform called BaseCamp. It was a very effective way to keep our communications lines open and clear and it helped both teams meet deadlines for the Website.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

ILF found DODO's project teams to be very professional and willing to go above and beyond to meet our expectations. We don't really have a comparison to make with other vendors of this kind, but we do know that we have been completely satisfied with their work and the fees that are charged to our organization.

Are there any areas for improvement?

There is very little that DODO could do to improve upon the work they are doing now. They are reliable, efficient, communicative, proactive and professional. Just the kind of vendor that our organization seeks out.
