What challenge were you trying to address with dMorpheus?

We have a new product coming to the market. Thus, we needed to rapidly develop a new website to support our marketing efforts.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We asked dMorpheus to develop a website with certain key features. This was a relatively simple website, but one of our key requirements was to keep it regionally focused. We wanted the content for this website to be delivered regionally according to the visitor’s location. For example, if a visitor from North America visited our website, we wanted to display content relevant to the North American market. We wanted the same with other regions globally.

We asked dMorpheus to build this site on Wix Studio because that’s the platform we’ve used on other websites. Still, the team developed a backend database to feed the website with content. For this project, we provided dMorpheus with the design and content using Figma files, and the team was entirely in charge of the development.

One of my team members came across dMorpheus through the Wix marketplace.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent under £50,000 (approximately $64,000).

We worked together from February–July 2024.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Our success has been narrowed down to two things. Firstly, dMorpheus has successfully delivered a functional website based on our designs, implementing the regional specifications. Thanks to this site, we’re now capable of feeding content based on the visitor’s location.

Secondly, dMorpheus has met our requested delivery date. We were attending a specific event in May 2024, so we needed our website to be live by then. dMorpheus managed to deliver in that timeframe.

How did dMorpheus perform from a project management standpoint?

dMoprheus was able to deliver everything we asked for. However, the budget considerably increased. I believe there was a misunderstanding and different expectations between our organizations. 

We had a Microsoft Teams call once or twice per week to go over progress and updates. We also used email and had a SharePoint site that dMorpheus set up and gave us access to, which was very useful. As mentioned, we also used Figma to share designs.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

All the entire team at dMorpheus has been very professional. We tend to work the most with David (Founder) and Thomas (CEO), who are excellent. Moreover, our developer is also very good as well.

What did you find most impressive about them?

dMorpheus had the technical capabilities and skills to deliver what we needed to do, and whenever there were challenges, they were able to overcome them. Additionally, they were very open and willing to work with us to ensure that what they delivered met our needs, which was good. Still, meeting our exact needs came with an additional cost, since they charged us for changes and details that were not clearly specific in the scope.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We hadn’t worked on a similar project before, so we were charged for any part of the scope that was ambiguous. We didn’t disagree with the charges, but we could have been more prepared in our scope definition before setting up the contract. Still, I would also have preferred to work with a more flexible organization in working with a loose scope.

Moreover, it would have been great if they considered small changes in their budget. I understand that any change was something to be paid for, but this was also a two-way relationship, so they needed to understand that this wasn’t just about the final outcome but about also achieving a positive financial outcome for both parties.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Have a clear scope agreed on upfront, understand where changes might be required, and consider those changes in your budget. Changes will always come with an additional cost, so plan for that.

If possible, give yourself enough time to deliver the project. Still, we had a very short timeframe, and dMorpheus worked with us to meet our timeframe, which was very positive of theirs.

The project that we required assistance with was a complete overhaul of our website:

• We had a website that was very basic especially in operation. 
• The backend of the website was extremely hard to manage.
• The content was causing our SEO results to perform poorly. 
• The design of the website was over complicated which in turn made the backend nearly impossible to manage. 
• We had no tablet, or mobile version. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

• It is hard to quantify some of the outcomes from the project but one easily tangible item is the CMS page. We had content pages for nearly 100 products but dMorpheus was able to consolidate the content and implement a dynamic product page that is exponentially easier to use and allows us to rank better on search engine results. 
• The entire responsiveness of the website is so much better.
• Although we kept a lot of the aesthetic design the UX of the website feels like a completely new site. 
• The website functions extremely well on mobile devices whereas before we did not have a mobile site.

David, Kirill, and Thomas are extremely responsive and very diligent about their time commitments and deadlines. If there was ever any hold up it was on our end trying to decide the direction and delay in getting back to them. They worked 100% around our schedule and there was never any issue at all - if we needed dMorpheus the team was always ready for us and replied right away with solutions.
