We have a pretty good amount of experience with digital advertising through facebook and google ads, but there are so many different ways to set up campaigns that we wanted to make sure we were reaching our customers the most efficiently and effectively as possible to get the best return on investment. When we started doing some research on digital advertising agencies I remembered seeing facebook ads in the past from Disruptive. After contacting Disruptive along with a few other agencies to get a quote and chat with their teams we ultimately chose Disruptive based on how well they did with their retargeting ads after we visited their site along with their pricing structure and no-commitment contract. When we first started doing some research we weren't quite ready to commit, so over the next few months we received multiple pushy sales calls from other agencies, but didn't hear anything from Disruptive other than seeing their retargeting ads, which we really appreciated. It showed that their results speak for themselves and they don't spend a lot of time trying to convince you to choose them.

Working with Disruptive so far has been an excellent experience. The first couple calls allowed us to get introduced to their team and learn about their process. They had very professional slideshows and presentations to walk us through every step of the process from the introductory calls to the detailed campaign settings. Since we have more experience with digital advertising and are interested in learning the best ways to set up the campaigns, they have been great about walking us through the campaign settings and targeting in detail.

We started off the first call with their team manager Dawson who introduced us to our account strategist Kaden who has been doing all of the day to day implementation of the campaigns. They have a graphics team that will do all of the creative for you, but since I am a graphic designer, they have been great about working together with us to get the visual elements needed.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We are still in the early stages of our campaigns, but from what we've seen so far, their staff is very knowledgable in digital advertising and we are confident that we will have very successful campaigns.

We have developed a great partnership between their team and ours. We have provided them with some of the creative elements like photos and videos and they have done all of the work setting up the campaigns. We have had almost weekly phone calls and communicated via email at least once a week.

The thing that we really like about Disruptive is that they have a large team of experienced advertisers so they can assign you an account rep that has experience in your specific industry and they can bounce ideas off of each other to make sure they are targeting campaigns most effectively.

We have seen a nice steady increase in sales since we've started to work with Disruptive Advertising. At the very beginning, they put a lot of effort into acquiring new customers and did a lot of prospecting ads. Over the course of 2-3 months, we're seeing all of this pay off!
We've continued to see an increase in our web traffic and our conversion rates are continuing to grow. The prospects that we brought to the site in the first couple of months, are now buying because of the re-targeting strategy that Disruptive Advertising put into place. It's amazing to see the idea come to life.

I love working with Disruptive Advertising. I've worked with multiple agencies in the past that have over-promised and under-delivered. Storq is a Direct-To-Consumer brand focused on apparel and accessories for women who are pregnant, nursing, and prioritize comfort while looking and feeling like themselves. I hold the position of Marketing Manager, overseeing marketing strategy across paid and organic channels.

We work with Disruptive to manage our paid marketing efforts in Facebook and Google. As an online-only business, Facebook and Google are important levers for driving growth in our business. We trust our team at Disruptive to actively optimize these channels and test new strategies.
What were your goals for this project?
Our ongoing marketing goal is to drive growth while hitting at or below a specific return on ad spend. It's also very important to us to maintain the standards of our brand, and our team we collaborate closely with our team at Disruptive to make sure every piece of creative is something we can be proud of.

Describe the scope of their work in detail.
Disruptive works on strategy, marketing execution, and reporting across Google and Facebook. They lead a biweekly meeting covering performance, budget pacing, learnings, and new opportunities.
On top of evergreen campaigns, they also make specific strategy recommendations for important product launches and marketing initiatives like sales. Disruptive briefs me on strategy, and we work together to edit depending on business goals and priorities. I ultimately approve strategy with my CEO.
What was the team composition?
We have three people actively working on our account: one focused on Google, one focused on Facebook (and soon Pinterest), and a third overseeing them both. The size of the team has grown, with a new manager on our Google account and the former Google account manager promoted to oversee her.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We've had great success in our paid marketing channels since Disruptive has been managing our accounts. We continue to see year over year growth in terms of revenue, repeat purchases, and new customers. We've also hit new revenue milestones in our annual sales.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Super effective! We speak biweekly to stay up to speed with performance and budgets, and stay in touch via email between meetings to cover any asks or updates. We have an overall great rapport that I'm happy with.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
I'm most impressed with the way they're always striving towards and forming the conversation around improvement. They get ahead of the next thing, even when things are going really well and I find myself inclined to just ride the wave. I can also tell that they're doing the work, staying close to the account and keeping a close eye on the day-to-day performance so they can react quickly when they need to—it's much appreciated!
Are there any areas for improvement?
I'd like to hear more from Disruptive about what we need to do as a business to help them do their work better. I'd also like to hear more of their perspective on what our expectations should be.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am the digital project manager for zBuyer, a real estate B2B company. We deal with real estate agents and sell them packages of leads for home shoppers.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Disruptive Advertising?
We wanted to get home shoppers interested in buying and selling houses using Facebook ads.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
We had to find people interested in buying houses across all 50 states, but we needed to start with a limited number of leads first and reach them on Facebook. We hired Disruptive Advertising to help us with this Facebook Marketing Campaign.
What is the team composition?
I have interacted with four people from their team. Jace (Enterprise Account Manager, Disruptive Advertising) is amazing. He was super informative and would even work during the weekend sometimes. I also work with Katie (Marketing Consultant, Disruptive Advertising) and Caitlin (Marketing Consultant, Disruptive Advertising). There are other people behind the scenes, too.
How did you come to work with Disruptive Advertising?
Before working with Disruptive Advertising, we worked with another agency that took weeks to make changes, and their cost-per-lead model didn’t work for us. I looked for another provider and found Disruptive Advertising on Clutch.
Their reviews were one of the most important things in hiring them, as they mentioned their professionalism. I called them and set up an appointment. The way they handle business and their service level agreement (SLA) were both strong plusses.
How much have you invested in them?
So far, we have spent around $20,000. We are under a specific threshold, so we pay them fees according to ad spend. For cost per leads, it is according to the bidding.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began working with them in December 2019, and the work is still ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They were able to do what we wanted. I am already running ads. I ran ads before, and I saw that we could pay less in some areas and if we were to change to a model like the one that we are currently in with Disruptive Advertising.
Also, they’re with billing and cost. We asked to meet the rate per lead that we paid with our previous agency, and we actually have been paying less than what we did before.
How did Disruptive Advertising perform from a project management standpoint?
We use Google sheets and they manage all the screens and history. They are super business-oriented. We maintain continuous communication through email and our very informative weekly call with them. We also communicate through Hangouts. My only other experience was with the other agency and it wasn’t positive, so I am continually amazed by Disruptive Advertising.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I can give a list of some of their most impressive qualities:

Are there any areas they could improve?
No. I agreed to their services knowing it would only be a weekly call, but they are always available to me. I reach out to them, and they get back to me within 24 hours. There is nothing that needs to be changed or enhanced.

My advice would be to give them all the business details. Have all the resources available and be transparent with current Facebook ads.

Our store is The Enchanted Forest and we are an online based retailer specializing in the sale of magical and boho-chic themed jewelry pieces and accessories. I am the President and CEO of the company.

For what projects/services did your company hire Disruptive Advertising?
So prior to engaging Disruptive Advertising, I handled all the marketing for "The Enchanted Forest" and primarily posted paid ads on Facebook. I knew that I wanted to scale our ad budget and contract with a vendor that could alleviate the time I had to invest each day keeping track of our company's marketing challenges. Disruptive had been contracted to provide the daily management of our Facebook and Google Ads marketing campaigns, and have recently started a Pinterest ad campaign.
What were your goals for this project?
The primary goals were to maintain a 3x ROAS on both Facebook and Google Ads platforms, while at the same time scaling sales to reach a minimum of $50,000 each month. We allowed 3 months as a transition period to achieve these goals.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor?
I reached out to a few different vendors to get an understanding of scope of services as well as pricing. I looked at 3 different marketing companies, and the only prerequisite was a focus on Facebook marketing. I wanted to be sure that the company I chose was capable of managing our then-current ad campaigns, while also adding value via starting new campaigns on new platforms. Disruptive had the most compelling credentials and were large enough to offer resources that the other 2 vendors couldn't match.
Describe the scope of their work in detail.
Essentially, the scope of work is complete management and execution of our online ad campaigns. Disruptive is responsible for planning, developing and adjusting the various campaigns we run on a day-to-day basis. We have semi-weekly calls to review progress and monthly strategy calls to ensure that we are all on the same page with monthly goals and promotions, as well as staying on target for ad spend budgets.
What was the team composition?
I work directly with 2 specialists at Disruptive, Adriel Johnson who handle our Facebook campaigns and Summer Choi, who is responsible for the Google Ads campaigns. We have had 2 specialists since we started with Disruptive.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We have worked with Disruptive for a little less than 6 months and have seen measurable growth and progress. After the initial 3 month transition period, we have seen comp sales growth in the past couple of months, while delivering on our monthly sales and ROAS targets. Overall, we have also seen increased site visits and increased interaction with our ads on Facebook.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
The workflow has been managed extremely well in my opinion. Both Adriel and Summer are easy to reach via email, and we always review expectations and performance each month during our strategy calls, so that has been helpful as well. There have been a couple times when we needed to adjust our campaigns to better align with our ad budgets and Disruptive was very accommodating and flexible so that we could stay within budget and still deliver on our goals.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
I believe their biggest asset is that they have a team of qualified specialists. They can step in as needed when additional resources are needed. There have been times when we needed new ads designed or had technical issues with our ads running on the different platforms, and Disruptive has been able to seamlessly resolve the issues as they have come up.
Are there any areas for improvement?
Only area of improvement I can suggest is to steam line the transition period so that sales goals and targets can be achieved in less than 3 months.
