A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the owner of LifeStiles Spa. I’m a working service provider there as well.
What challenge were you trying to address with Dingus & Zazzy?
Originally, I hired them to help me with my website. They also have helped me with marketing my online presence with my e-commerce store and spa website.
What was the scope of their involvement?
It was a redesign of the website. In the beginning, I was working with a designer that helped me with some of my visuals, and they helped with Squarespace, making it more flexible for me to make additions. The team also has helped me with my e-blasts and social media presence.
We did a six-month marketing plan of service specials, product specials, website changes, and updated mailing lists. They also helped me develop my online store. If I’m not happy with the way it looks, they will work with Shopify to extend some things that make it a bit more efficient, get my presence known better to my clients and social media followers.
They actually do the posting for me as well. We’re targeting Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
What is the team composition?
Jonathan (Founder & CEO) was my main point of contact. Jonathan has a team of people that he works with.
How did you come to work with Dingus & Zazzy?
It was a referral from another fellow that was working on my site changes. He had worked with Jonathan before and recommended him.
How much have you invested with them?
I pay $1,500 monthly.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our engagement with Dingus & Zazzy started in March 2020.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I know that I rank fairly high on Google without paying for Google Ads. Jonathan’s response time is excellent, and in that way, if I want to fill a slow day, I can email them and say that I need a blast done. Their response time is within a couple of hours, which has been helpful.
One of the things I love about Jonathan’s company is that he likes to charge monthly, which is very reasonable. He doesn’t make his clients sign a contract, as I have had that experience in the past, and it was slightly disastrous. Jonathan is reasonable in the sense where we have set it up, so I just pay monthly, and I can use that as much as I want or as little as I want.
In the world today, the demographics we’re working with will get on the phone to look up our phone number. That number and updated website are the most valuable things we have right now in small business, especially over the last year with opening and closing.
How did Dingus & Zazzy perform from a project management standpoint?
From a project management standpoint, they’re excellent. This week, a few people were out sick, and Jonathan got back to me personally. We generally communicate through email, but we have phone meetings at times.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I’m impressed with their experience. Jonathan has had online stores of his own, so he brings a lot of expertise to the table. He’s a young guy, but he’s had his own successes.
Jonathan is very helpful. He came and held an onsite training with my staff about social media postings. He was excellent, entertaining, and interesting. It kept 20 members of my staff very entertained for the afternoon.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don’t think so. They’re a small business that’s receptive to feedback. We’ve learned to groove together, so it’s been good.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
They have a dynamic website that gives people an idea of what they’re able to do. I advise people to contact them and deal with them directly about their needs. They work with all different kinds of companies.
