Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

Digital Roots developed a custom web application for Kukayo's e-commerce operations, enabling the management and sale of daily menus online. They also built a custom software solution for our corporate dining facilities, integrating touch-screen terminals and printers to manage employee access and meal services. The system supports multiple companies and locations, with offline operation and automatic data synchronization when connectivity is restored.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The new systems significantly improved the way we manage our daily menu sales and corporate dining operations. We now have a centralized e-commerce platform for our daily menus, while our dining facilities can operate independently across multiple companies and locations.  The custom kiosk and access control system have also become a differentiator for Kukayo, allowing us to offer clients a complete dining management solution and helping us attract new customers who specifically require this type of technology.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

The Digital Roots team was very responsive throughout the project and adapted quickly to our needs. They maintained clear communication, delivered the agreed functionality on time, and were proactive in understanding our operational requirements. Their ongoing support has also been important as we continue to use and improve the systems.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What impressed us most was their ability to understand our needs and translate them into functional software.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Digital Roots could have done differently?

One area we could improve is the definition of requirements before development begins. Because our projects involve highly customized software, we sometimes identify additional needs or changes only after seeing the functionality in practice. This can lead to the original scope expanding and require additional discussions around the impact on the project. Having more time for detailed planning and discovery upfront could help reduce these situations.
