The team at Digital Nomads worked with us to create a beautiful bespoke website for our small family business that we can manage parts of ourselves when needed. They advise best practices and listened to all our ideas. We spent considerable time editing and trialing different things until we were happy with the final result and we appreciated their patience while I worked through it all. It's a rather big and daunting job for a small family business to make time for this and their patience and understanding was invaluable.

Digital Nomads researched our competitors and did a brilliant job of understanding the trade industry we're in to help produce professional copy that was relevant to us personally but the industry as a whole. They educated us on best practices, created galleries just as we wanted them and made little unique tweaks to help us convey our message authentically. Digital Nomads took the time to get our branding just right or create images/graphics for us to use for the website.

They've been very helpful in answering questions after launching the website and have promptly actioned any minor hiccups we've found along the way. We have since had countless compliments on our website, even from long term trade professionals who've seen many cabinet makers websites. Everyone loves how it looks, feels and conveys our message. It's pretty simple to use and we appreciate the effort taken to make the both PC & Mobile versions. I believe there's more work we can do to rank better in Google searches and obtain more leads through the enquiry form etc, but we will work on these in the future.

For now we are getting plenty of phone call and email leads (from those who've seen our website), we've also picked up bigger clients/builders now that we actually have a website. We take pride in directing our potential clients to our page and using the image gallery often to help explain design options to existing clients. Very prompt with everything, often had to chase me to confirm things but I never felt pressured or hounded. Their understanding of small business owner demands and allowing me the time to process any edits, approvals or changes was comforting. We weren't just another number in the system to get ticked off.

I guess the only thing that was sometimes tricky was the time difference between us in QLD Australia and our web designer based in South Africa (the rest of the DMQH team are here locally so we always had someone available if needed) but this was hardly an issue, he was a very lovely, helpful and knowledgeable guy, it was just something I had to factor in when communicating with him.

Our goals were to create a website that focuses heavily on lead generation whilst also creating trust, credibility and making it an easy to use customer experience for our users. Also, the website needed to be SEO friendly.

We searched online and noticed they had a full scale team that looked professional but fun to be around. Their website images gave insight into the company culture and the owner looked like she cared. Also, their 5 star reviews helped.

After an initial meeting with the owner Jodi and Manager Ben we decided on what needed to be done to boost our online presence and start to dominate search results. With this in mind we had their Google Ads specialist create an ads campaign that performed well above my expectations whilst Hayden got to work on creating the new site.

The site was to be built in a dynamic way with movement on the page, polished finishes and with the goal of lead capture. Hayden went above and beyond to understand our needs and created a world class website that makes our competitors site look like a school project from a year 6 student.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The outcomes from our ads campaign were truly tremendous. Jacob worked hard to get us CPC at $6-7 whilst CTR was an astonishing 12%! We had to turn the campaign off as we had too much work to handle. In terms of the website, we're seeing great conversions and fantastic feedback from customers. In fact, a lot of customers keep asking me "who built your site?" so I've practically become a spokesperson for Digital Nomads here on the Sunshine Coast.

The team always delivered on what they said they would when they would. They're always happy to have a sit down meeting as me and my wife are very much face to face people. They were always happy to answer any queries via phone or email.

The company culture. Jodi the owner clearly knows how to lead a team. She even sent my wife a very thoughtful gift when she went into hospital. Something which, to be honest, virtually brought a tear to my eye.

Sure. They could of charged me more money because these guys are worth every darn penny!

Our project began with a discovery phase where we discussed our goals. From there, they created a custom website where we could collect bookings and enquiries for our target market. They performed keyword research and a competitor analysis to make sure that we were targeting the right audience. Here, they also identified a number of opportunities for us to improve our online presence.

After the website was launched, they continue to conduct ongoing SEO management. This included keyword tracking, on-page optimisation and link building. They also write monthly blg posts that are relevant to our industry and our target audience.

I had a very positive response to the launch of my new website on social media. More than 200 people commented on the website and remarked on its incredible functionality and design.

Within days of launching the website Digital Nomads created for me, I had jobs and leads pouring in. Within weeks of launching, I was offered a full-time job with a content agency in Sydney. I am certain it was the professional quality of my website that attracted this agency and led to an incredibly employment opportunity. Further jobs continue to arrive via my website, so I am continuing to run my business alongside my full-time job. This is all thanks to Digital Nomads.

I communicated with Jodi, Hayden and Mitch throughout the process of conceptualising and developing my website. We communicated via email and Facebook Messenger. At every stage of the process, I found them to be highly responsive, helpful and polite. It was a pleasure to deal with them and while I had quite a few demands and changes of scope, they were always accommodating and delivered an exceptional website for me.

Nothing seemed to be too difficult for them. They were always incredibly friendly and their 'can do' attitude was very refreshing. They offered professional advice to help guide me throughout the process and they didn't make me feel like an idiot when I asked dumb tech questions.

Digital Nomads provides us with SEO and PPC services for Google and Facebook. They’ve also designed some landing pages for us that link to our HubSpot CRM system. For SEO, we’ve provided them with access to our site’s backend, and they’ve made some changes to certain landing pages and keywords to optimize our site.

As for the advertising campaigns, we tell Digital Nomads what we want to achieve every month and who we would like to target so that they can create the campaigns. They always provide different options and come up with ideas to create engaging campaigns to attract leads.

We work with three key members from Digital Nomads. Todd (PPC Manager) takes care of PPC campaigns and Facebook Ads, Jacob (PPC Strategist) takes care of our Google Ads, and Hayden (Head of Development) helps us with SEO.

We started working together in August 2021, and our engagement is ongoing. We plan to continue working with them and even have them do more work because we’re seeing great results.

Since working with Digital Nomads, our business has been flowing better. Thanks to their digital marketing efforts, we’re seeing more leads coming in from Facebook, and our business is growing. We wouldn’t have been able to get those results without their help.

Now, various staff members are constantly contacting new leads, either for recruitment, support workers, or potential clients. Most of these people have found us through our website, demonstrating that Digital Nomads’ SEO efforts also work well for us. Others have told us that they’ve found us through our Facebook Ads, which is great.

How did Digital Nomads HQ perform from a project management standpoint?

Digital Nomads’ project management is amazing. They always deliver before deadlines, and they let me know whenever they face any issues or delays. Overall, we’re very happy with their entire team and their approach. Their team constantly checks in and asks about the quality of the leads they get for us, making us feel like they’re very budget conscious and don’t want to waste money on attracting unqualified leads.

We have monthly meetings with Digital Nomads to discuss the month ahead, our plans, and what worked well for us the month before. They also provide us with a summary of the services they offered the prior month, as well as with a report on the keywords used and suggestions for tweaking the campaigns for the next month.

Their team is very responsive to feedback and works with us to get the best results. I can always email Todd, and he usually gets back to me within an hour; he’s very helpful. We communicate via Zoom meetings, phone calls, and emails. Moving forward, we will try to have a monthly in-person meeting if possible.

Whenever someone from their team is away, they ensure that their replacement understands where we’re at. Then, they took over the SEO to help generate more customers. I provided some keywords for them to use; their team made structural and textual changes to the site.

Digital Nomads HQ is amazing at what they do — they deliver great results. I’ve gotten a lot of bookings because of their work; new customers usually find us through Google searches. For the keywords I’m prioritizing, we’re ranking within the top two. 

I love working with them because I don’t have to be heavily involved in their work. I don’t have to provide much input, which is nice because I’m busy with other work.

Digital Nomads HQ is self-directed, so they don’t require a lot of input from me to deliver good work. They track their successes and ensure their monthly reports are very thorough. 

Outside their progress report, we communicate through email. Their team responds and turns around my change requests quickly. They explain everything clearly, making that I can still understand what they’re saying as a non-technical person. Digital Nomads HQ’s team is always available for a call — their communication is fantastic.

Digital Nomads HQ’s communication is excellent. They have an amazing team; no one is working outside their scope because they have specialists for all the services they provide.

This has helped the website rank higher in the google search results. They also started running a google ads campaign for the business.

Digital Nomads have helped us grow incredibly fast and had us ranking on the first page of google in just a few months. With the google ads, they have reduced our CPC considerably. This has allowed us to use the excess income on growing the business.
