I’m the director of marketing for APPLIED Adhesives. 

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Dialog Studios?

We got to a point when we started creating actual content for our website. My marketing associate and I couldn’t really keep up with the volume that we needed. In the end, we decided that we needed to have some assistance. That's the reason we hired Dialog Studios.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They provided content and copywriting material for our website. The team told us what they needed and we provided them as many materials as we had. Then, they wrote our requirements, and when we took the content from them, we pop them on the website.

As an example of content they created for us, we asked them to write the bios of our executive team. It was important for us not to have different types of bios that were all over the place. Additionally, they provided us with drafts and we asked them for occasional retweaks and rewrite.

How did you come to work with Dialog Studios?

We talked to a number of different firms and did our due diligence. Our company interviewed many firms and came up with three. After that, we had our executive team meet with them. In the end, we chose Dialog Studios as our partners.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent under $16,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our partnership ran from June–September 2020.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

When they came in, they really did well. The feedback that we received from individuals and the customers that we spoke with, and everybody else in general — said the website worked out smoothly and looked so nice. Our results would not be as good on the actual website if they didn’t do a great job on the copy. 

How did Dialog Studios perform from a project management standpoint?

Since Julie and Melissa were in the meetings with us, we didn’t have to go back and try to explain things. Dialog Studios, the design center, and our company would often meet at the same time. Every time we met,  they understood what we were doing, what our goals were, and what our timeline was. We provided them information and they went out and did some more research before writing.

We also had many video conferences with them, and we met 2–3 times a week for this process. For the project management, we had a site where we could access everything, so we placed the files in there. Whenever they had deadlines, they met them. They also worked hand-in-hand with our partner and they collaborated very well together. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They were the best team and I couldn’t say enough positive things about them. They were simply fantastic and we were very pleased with their services. We just had a document on a SharePoint site — they followed it and it was great. We really liked that they wanted to provide the best that they could as far as copywriting goes. They even came back to us and said what was wrong with the output. 

They were not afraid to share their opinions about the best path we could take. Overall, the results speak for themselves. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

They were spot on with everything and I couldn’t think of anything they could improve on.
