I’m the director of a business, operational, and marketing consultancy services company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Developers Alliance?

We needed a custom cloud-based software solution that could check a vast amount of data using two kinds of API solutions (initial data validation and AI for further information gathering). The solution needed to verify initial data points and further expand with additional details in a very detailed and exportable data set, all with cost and API call management in mind.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We initially communicated with Developers Alliance live, and although we didn’t have an initial statement of work, we agreed on it as we brainstormed and moved along with the idea. We initially presented a code-based draft, which was further massively expanded on. The team delivered a solution that exceeded our expectations by about five times what we initially thought.We can’t disclose the actual deliverables, but the team managed to integrate two APIs, one of which was an AI solution that massively expanded our research solution and further added 10+ data columns that we could work on.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We were able to scan our 150+ data files using the developed solution and validate all required data points. We increased data accuracy from manual check-ups to 100% API and AI-driven data validation. Each data point requires us to spend around 30 seconds to one minute, which saved us more than 6,250 hours of manual labor for data validation, not to mention the extra data that the AI provided.Moreover, when it comes to AI-usage costs, we were amazed that a validation of nearly 7.5k rows would only cost £1 (approximately $1.20 USD). That’s the efficiency at scale when using AI with the right code-set delivery in mind.

How did Developers Alliance perform from a project management standpoint?

They delivered on time and exceeded our expectations on how quickly they provided an MVP, which was further improved through testing. We communicated via virtual meetings, email, and a messaging app.

What did you find most impressive or unique about them?

We were amazed at how operationally swiftly the team handled additional feature development and cases where the code required improvement to do code clean-up for smooth operations. Moreover, their approachability was impressive. The whole project just required one meeting, and the rest was done via a live chat with voice notes and messages. The team clearly knew what to deliver and how to deliver it.

The aim of the project was the technical support and further development of our online shops as well as various connections to online shop platforms such as eBay or Amazon. In addition, monitoring and carrying out upcoming updates as well as the system conversion from Magento 1 to Magento 2. Together with the Developers Alliance, we are constantly working on improving our processes and integrating new interfaces and target markets.

When we did the migration a few years ago, there were a few communication problems that unfortunately led to avoidable errors. However, the processes have been adapted here and by integrating a project manager recently, the agreements and work steps in a larger project were much better planned and implemented and we were able to successfully complete the project.
