For what projects/services did your company hire Designs of Tomorrow - Architecture, and what were your goals?

To design and engineer an apartment bldg

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Jon's company solicited me.

Describe the engagement and overall scope of work in detail, including the stages of the partnership.

I met with Jon and his team after a few phone calls. During process of chosen DOT, Jon indicated that he was on Salt Lake Planning commission and that it would be a huge benefit to us having Jon quickly move the project through the City. Jon never has gotten approval through Salt Lake planning. I have never seen a completed ser of drawings and stamped engineering plans. I have nothing to show for the nearly $200,000 that I paid him.

What were the terms and the value of the lease, and what percentage did Designs of Tomorrow - Architecture take in commission?

$186,000 architect/engineering, completed over the a 3 or 4 month time frame. None of this happened. I still have no completed pages and definately not a completed set of working drawings.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Three: Mallie Lanham and another draftsman guy, long with engineers that he told me he would.oay with our $180,000 plus that I gave him.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the engagement or general feedback about the services?

Jon hired an attorney to collect $4000 thousand that he said that we still owed. Now that I had only seen a few renderings 4 or 5 weeks ago at his office, I became very nervous that Jon hadbtaken my money and wasnt going to produce anything at this point.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

I didnt really get any sign of progress via email. It was Jon telling me that he was at a certain stage. The last meeting he told me that he just had a few items to finish and that he would have it approved through SLC Building dept.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Nothing really ither than what Jon promised and that Jon was on the SL Planning commission.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Yes. Actually finish the work and get it approved through the City.
