Design.Aid is an Australian-managed offshore drafting and BIM support partner helping builders, architects, building designers and residential project teams increase drafting capacity without immediately expanding fixed local headcount.
The company supports Australian project workflows across AutoCAD, Revit and ArchiCAD, including CAD drafting, Revit documentation, BIM-related model and drawing updates, residential documentation, working drawings, markups and revisions, overflow drafting and dedicated offshore drafting resources.
Design.Aid offers casual, part-time, full-time and team-based engagement models, allowing firms to choose support that matches their workload and project pipeline. Offshore drafting resources are selected for relevant experience, supported by Australian-focused training and integrated into client workflows, templates and communication processes. Design.Aid's offshore architectural drafters have a minimum of five years' experience within the Australian residential and construction industry, while its workflows include QA checks and structured client feedback.
Design.Aid is founder-led by Petros Varlokostas, who brings 17 years of Australian residential industry experience across drafting, documentation, ResCode, Livable Housing, NCC requirements, quality assurance and permit-related project support.
Design.Aid provides drafting production support while the client's internal project team retains responsibility for design direction, compliance review, planning and permit requirements, final approvals and final issue.
