DEPENDABLE STAMPING COMPANY

(also known as DSC) is a Third Generation Family Business and an Important part of the Steel Stamping Industry.

Metal stamping has been a part of the BERES family since the 1940s.  It all started when Roy and Mike’s maternal grandfather who started working at Whiteway Stamping as an accountant/controller here in Cleveland, Ohio.  He worked with the company for 20+ years.  Once, Roy and Mike’s father married into the family he got a position working with his father-in-law at Whiteway Stamping in the 1960s.  From that point, the Beres family were instantly bitten by the `steel stamping bug`.  In 1980, Roy and Mike’s father had an opportunity, with a partner, to purchase Whiteway Stamping and renamed the business Dependable Stamping.

As DSC began to grow, the brothers spent a lot of their childhood and teenage years in the shop.  They would go in on Saturdays to clean floors, wipe down the presses and learn the trade.  They would spend as much as four or five hours every week doing what they laughingly claim as `child labor`.

In the early 1990s, Roy and Mike started getting their hands even deeper into everyday dealings and learning all the ins-and-outs of the business.  Toward the mid 2000s Roy and Mike decided to buy out their father’s partner and now run this remarkable family business on their own.

Since, Roy and Mike have taken over the business they have expanded the company, opening a second location in 1996 and have since added as many as 50+ employees.  The two locations total over 70,000 square feet in space that holds many different phases and processes of metal stamping.
