Introduce your business and what you do there.

I work at a medium- to large-size social service organization that serves communities in New York City. I’m the grants and special projects manager.

What challenge were you trying to address with Dell Graphics?

We’ve been working together for a number of years, and they are our go-to printer in New York City. They create different types of collateral for our programs, including graphics for events and our annual report.

They do printing and embossing for all types of materials.

We work directly with one resource.

How did you come to work with Dell Graphics?

I’ve only been with the organization for one year, so I’m not sure exactly how they found them but they can do pretty much whatever we ask of them. We work exclusively with them.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $10,000–$50,000 in total.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working together since July 2017.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

They’re extremely responsive and patient. Dell Graphics’ team works well with changes, even at the last minute. One of the things we really appreciate is how they drop off proofs of the work at our office so we don’t have to deal with the logistics. If we’re in a time crunch, they let us come to their printing lab and look at their different products and tests so we can move forward quickly. The service feels very personal.

How did Dell Graphics perform from a project management standpoint?

They work with our timelines and budgets with 100% accuracy. Communication happens by email, document sharing, and phone calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re a one-stop shop — handling everything from small printing projects to specialized projects, including gold foil swag bags, bookbinding, and foam-mounted posters. Their range is why we’ve worked together for so long.

They’re also great at making changes. If we want something digitally instead of on paper, they can do it. If I want something to be silkier or shinier or more vibrant, they’ll provide options.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I haven’t come across a moment where I'm not super satisfied with their work. If we want something changed, then Dell will work with us to provide a satisfactory solution. The one issue we had with the cover of our annual report and the vibrancy of its colors was remedied quickly and efficiently. The end result was beyond what we anticipated.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Describe what you need as best you can, and I’m sure that they’ll be able to deliver it for you. I’ve been to their lab, and they have a number of impressive machines. We’re always learning more about what they can do for us.
