Introduce your business and what you do there? 

I’m a portfolio manager of Jackson, Etti & Edu (JEE). We’re an intellectual property firm in Nigeria, and we have 11 partners and 60–100 staff members.

What challenge were you trying to address with DeCritic?

We were writing a lot of content, but it wasn’t visible to a lot of people. As a result, we needed someone to help us with SEO.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We told DeCritic our problem, and they proposed an agreeable solution. After that, we gave them our backend details. They continue to handle all of our SEO activities.

We have one main point of contact, but we’ve interacted with 5–6 people on their team.

We began working together around May 2019, and it’s ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Prior to working with them, our visibility was zero. Within the first couple of months, we saw improvement in our site and content traffic and have had roughly 5,000 visitors to date. Overall, there has been a significant improvement in our online presence; we now appear on Google’s first page.

How did DeCritic perform from a project management perspective?

They’re professional, and they know their audience. They're available even outside business hours, and they go out of their way to help us succeed, including giving tips and training to our IT staff. Overall, our relationship has been excellent.

What did you find most impressive about them? 

They have a personal touch in their approach, and they understand our business goals, working for us as if it were for themselves. When we asked them to review a certain piece of content, they brought in a team, including a psychologist. We haven't seen that type of dedication from any agency we’ve worked with in the past.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Their online presence is almost non-existent, and they should increase it as an example of their capabilities.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Clearly state your expectations and clearly draw out the project’s terms. In addition, you need to listen to them because they’re professionals.

The scope of the work included promoting the brand online and through all elite digital platforms where our target audience is. They handled our communications. They also serve as the communication experts to B2B companies.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The project was a huge success to us, and we recuperated 10% extra profits after the project.

DeCritic has a wonderful project management mechanism. First, upon receipt of the brief, a meeting is fixed to understand the problems and challenges of the company, then, questions are asked. The team then proceeds to work, while keeping a weekly update on the progress report. It is professional.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their passion and exhibition of a deep understanding of what they do are very impressive. They are experts.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Honestly, none I can think of.

We were referred to DeCritic by SortList and after going through their proposal and past works, we were convinced.

The task was to: - optimise all our content for search visibility - make us pop up on certain identified keywords - Do a digital audit on our backend - And execute vital linkages. They came through on all the deliverables.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We first got in on the last page search on Google within 2weeks, and then within 5month, we found our UCT contents on first pages of Google.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

It was exceptional. Always there to take our calls. Weekly meeting and updates. And early response during challenges. They are the best.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

This company, unlike most marketing companies I have worked with, is professional, efficient, and swift.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Sure, there is always an area for improvement. I think they should also find time to promote themselves as they are too busy promoting others. Find time for yourself.
