We hired D&D to design and implement an interactive SVG-based map component for our abalone farm management system, built with Angular. The goal was to create an intuitive UI that would allow operators to visually navigate the farm's layout—specifically racks and units—and register abalone groups directly into these units.

Key deliverables included:

• A dark-themed, responsive map interface aligned with our existing design system.
• Interactive SVG elements with smooth animations and real-time feedback.
• Multi-selection capabilities for racks and units to support bulk registration workflows.
• Display of contextual unit information.
• Iterative refinement of the design based on internal user testing and feedback.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Once fully implemented, the interactive map will make it dramatically easier for the farm operators to locate and manage abalone groups across the farming station. Instead of searching through lists or memorizing codes, operators will be able to visually navigate racks and units in an intuitive interface.

This visual approach will reduce training time for new staff, minimize mistakes in group assignments, and speed up daily operations. By clearly showing which units are occupied or available, the system will help streamline registration and improve overall efficiency. The solution sets the groundwork for a more user-friendly and scalable farm management interface.
