Nimit built a Power BI dashboard to visualize complex mental health program data drawn from multiple reporting systems. The scope included designing a data architecture capable of handling variable, non-standardized logic across several input sources, building calculated measures and visual displays for key impact metrics, and ensuring the final product was dynamic, clear, and adaptable for ongoing program monitoring and funder reporting.

The dataset is complex, with logic and equations that are not always clean or standardized, and required deep statistical and analytical understanding, not just surface-level implementation. Nimit handled this with patience and rigor, adapting thoughtfully as requirements evolved across two separate engagements.

A core deliverable beyond the dashboard itself was knowledge transfer. Nimit took the time to walk us through the logic, structure, and assumptions behind the build so we could confidently manage, adapt, and build on the work ourselves going forward. That kind of transparency and investment in the client's independence is rare and made the final product significantly more valuable than a handoff alone would have.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Delivered a multi-dashboard Power BI suite tracking clients through the full care pathway — screening, IPC and PM+ treatment, and post-intervention — with pre/post outcome comparisons, counselor performance tracking and demographic drill-downs the team uses in funder conversations.

Nimit's project management was consistently strong across both engagements. Deadlines were met with ease, communication lines were always open, and they were responsive and collaborative throughout. What stood out most was their willingness to change direction when something did not quite fit. They welcomed feedback at every stage rather than defending prior decisions, which made iteration straightforward and efficient. 

Our requirements were not always clean or fixed. The dataset evolved, the logic shifted, and the scope adapted as we learned more about what we needed. Nimit handled this without cutting corners or losing momentum, remaining patient and engaged even as complexity increased.

They also asked insightful clarifying questions from the outset, which meant fewer misalignments and less rework down the line. The overall experience was one of genuine collaboration rather than simple task execution.

They take the time to explain the logic, structure, and assumptions behind what they build, so you can confidently manage and adapt the work yourself going forward. That level of knowledge transfer is rare, and in our case made the final product significantly more valuable than the deliverable alone.

The other thing worth noting is how they handle complexity. Our data is variable and non-standardized, with logic that is not always clean or obvious. That kind of work requires real analytical depth, not just technical execution. Nimit brought both, and did so with patience and care across two separate engagements. 

At an exceptionally affordable rate, the value was outstanding.

Are there any areas for improvement or something The Data Family could have done differently?

The only improvement we can think of is cloning Nimit. We would keep one for data and give the other a design brief.

The Data Family has ingested data from disparate sources, including QuickBooks Online, Google Business, Rippling, our CRM, and our POS, into a Snowflake data warehouse. Then, the team has piped that data into sales and customer health dashboards in Microsoft Power BI.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The Data Family has ensured the accuracy of our data and published the pre-agreed dashboards for our leadership team. Our team no longer has to dig through multiple systems and export data to see how their KPIs are tracking against the budget. Now, the data is at their fingertips each day.

I don’t have specific metrics, but I can say that our leadership team meetings have leveled up. Because data and metrics were so difficult to come by previously, we just ended up not discussing most of them — or at least not until a month had already closed. Now, we can have more robust discussions about metrics throughout the month, which allows the team to respond more quickly and influence business outcomes.

The Data Family delivers on time and is a great communicator. We primarily communicate through virtual meetings, emails, and messaging apps.
