The effort focused on establishing scalable architecture, improving platform governance, introducing engineering standards, and creating a strategic roadmap that balanced immediate business value with long-term sustainability. The project emphasized building a foundation capable of supporting future data integration, analytics, reporting, and operational growth while reducing technical debt and operational risk.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Simplified and standardized platform services to improve maintainability, reduce operational complexity, and support future growth.

Partner integration moved off direct polling of FAC’s production on-premise SQL databases, removing the lock and load risk to the systems that run FAC’s own web applications

Approximately 50 to 60 tables across three on-premise SQL Server databases mirrored into Microsoft Fabric

54 partner-scoped views served through a single governed GraphQL endpoint

Hard-coded per-partner filters in the views replaced by row-level security: one view carrying one row-level policy per service principal, which removes a class of developer-error security risk

One environment became separate Dev and Prod environments, with source-controlled promotion and an approval gate

What impressed me most was their ability to balance immediate business needs with long-term architectural thinking. The team consistently looked beyond the requested deliverables to ensure the work would remain sustainable and extensible as requirements evolved.  Their combination of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and pragmatic execution made them a valuable partner throughout the project.
