CEO of a technical education company that specializes in reskilling and upskilling enterprise company employees in skills like software development, cloud computing, and data science.

For what projects/services did your company hire Creature Design Studio, and what were your goals?

As a startup we experienced impressive initial growth and came to a point where we needed to better articulate our products, services, and value.

How did you select this Creative Design Studio and what were the deciding factors?

We interviewed several marketing firms but our previous experience with the Creature founder, Chase Penelli was a large factor in choosing them.

This project went through discovery, design, and implementation phases with key deliverables involving branding, messaging, and a touch up of our website and its tools.

We worked with several resources that varied depending on the area of the project being worked on. Creature has a number of skilled professionals available across various areas of expertise.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Creature helped the company step up its presence and language to be more professional. Our sales continue to rise and enterprises continue to take us seriously as an organization.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Regularly scheduled meetings plus deliverable communication. When there was anything that impacted schedule we were notified, though that was rare.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The way they manage the resources on their end to provide quality worked quickly. They are comfortable with pivots and respond well.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The contracting process tends to be a bit vague on deliverables and timing, though as a startup we were also vague. It would be nice in the future to have a master schedule document so the executive level can quickly see where we are.

Skyline Design is a manufacturer of decorative architectural glass and film for interior and exterior applications. All products are sustainably made in their Chicago factory., I am the Marketing Director and acted as project manager for website development with Creature Design Studio.

For what projects/services did your company hire Creature Design Studio, and what were your goals?

Our website was only 3 years old, but our company needed a new structure to meet the needs of our growing business. With new product types and shifting markets, a complete website re-design and organization was necessary. We wanted clear direction for our multiple customer types, call to action on each page, and overall better organization and presentation of our products. We needed a site that we could update and customize on the fly.

How did you select Creature Design Studio and what were the deciding factors?

We researched and interviewed local web developers and shortlisted 3. Creature Design Studio stood out among the rest because of their expertise, detailed proposal, and transparency. We thought it would be easy (and fun) to work with Kara as our point person, and we were right!

After the kick-off meeting, Creature Design Studio got to work on mock-ups for us to review the design and site structure in WordPress. We dove in deeper after this to develop the site's pages, forms, and search functions.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

I worked directly with Kara as the project manager throughout the entire process. Behind the scenes at Creature: Chase in Marketing and a team of developers.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Our clients love the new design, navigation, and search organization. Our staff love the resources and simplicity of the site. Both sides are happy!

We used email and phone to communicate, which was best for our team. They had great response time and communication.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Our product is not the easiest to digest, but they were able to understand and provided great solutions. This showed that they really take the time to get to know a company and their products instead of just slapping a run-of-the-mill design template onto an existing site. Their attention to detail was evident when they would point out and suggest things that we ourselves didn't even notice about our product.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We found some minor typos throughout the site that we couldn't fix on our end, but their team rushed to fix them within minutes of us alerting them.
