COWO21 was founded in July 2010 by Frank Rein. At that time we were the first coworking space in Darmstadt - and one of the first twenty in Germany. In the early years, COWO21 made a name for itself through various public events. Film evenings (8ung Film), various lecture evenings (Pecha Kucha Night) and the monthly lunch (Suppe13) were held regularly.
Today we have about 35 coworkers (regularly and irregularly) with a wide variety of activities. They are freelancers, start-ups, students, postgraduates or employees of companies.
On an area of 250m² we have four large, bright, friendly work rooms with a total of 20 workstations. In addition, a meeting room for 10 people, a telephone box for undisturbed telephone calls and a large kitchen / lounge with a large dining table, table football and enough space for exchange.
The meeting room is used for a wide variety of purposes (coaching, internal meetings, customer visits). There are also large and small companies that do not want an anonymous hotel chain ambience, but rather a creative environment.
