For what projects/services did your company hire Conway Marketing?

I hired Conway to develop my membership website that also included on going video courses that would be uploaded new memberships.

How did you select Conway Marketing and what were the deciding factors?

I was given one of the developers names from a client of mine. I was unaware that he worked at Conway and was not a independent web developer but went ahead with the project based on the meeting I had with him along with the owner of Conway Marketing. We went over the scope of the work and they seemed promising that they would be able to deliver.

I had some main points that I wanted and needed for the site and they said that it would not be a problem. I had a detailed "wish list" which they just copied and pasted into the quote for the scope of work.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

The initial design of the website they wanted to use colors I wasn't happy with and tried to talk me into the colors and would not listen to my feedback. I also had to hold my ground with many other details of the site because they continuously tried to get out of doing their part of the agreeement. I found myself in many uncomfortable and tense conversations with the team that I hired and should have been helpful and working to create and wonderful website...it still makes no sense to me why they wouldn't listen and do their part of the agreement.

It was either because they were just incapable or they just didn't want to do the work to the best of their ability.

How many resources from the Conway Marketing team worked with you, and what were their positions?

I worked with two people regularly and occasionally (when they were trying to sell me on more services) would see the owner and one other employee

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

They did not fulfill their part of the agreement. They project dragged on. I had to constantly find old emails to prove to them that they had said they had done something that had clearly not been completed.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Terrible, it was a constant battle to get them to do the job they agreed to and that I had paid for. Eventually I walked away and took the financial hit because I just wanted to end the relationship with them.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Nothing. They did not hold their end of the agreement, and the team oversold and underdelivered.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Yes I think they oversold their abilities and underdelivered. They have extremely poor communication not only with me but between the team. When the owner is not an honest person it has a trickle down affect and the rest of the team acts in accordance with its leadership. Unfortunately that is what Conway Marketing is about. I also find it interesting that although they are a "marketing " team they themselves have no web presence an no social media presence. hmmm I guess I should have done more research beforehand.

I have learned my lesson and will not make these same mistakes again.
