What challenge were you trying to address with Tsunamiclick?

I engaged with Tsunamiclick for website optimization, particularly conversion rate optimization.

What was the scope of their involvement?

I hired Tsunamiclick to essentially perform an audit of our site. We discussed our business goals and what we were hoping to achieve. Through their examination, they were able to identify our areas of weakness and opportunity. These factors would help our company improve our site, better our conversion rates, and then ultimately lead to an increase in revenue. Once a test is completed for each of the campaigns, they send us a snippet of code and we implement it.

What is the team composition?

I’ve primarily worked with two people. Grant (Founder, Tsunamiclick) was more of the salesperson while we work with someone else for all of the development work.

How did you come to work with Tsunamiclick?

I believe they emailed me at some point. Over a year ago, we started conversations and loved their product, but it wasn’t the right time. We kept in touch, and then once the timing was right, we had already built a relationship through communication.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent about $9,500 so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our engagement started with Tsunamiclick in March 2019.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve been working with Tsunamiclick for a few months now, and the returns and leads we’ve gotten have already paid for themselves. Because these changes are permanent, we’ll see those returns in perpetuity. There are trackable metrics within our CRM and analytics that we can easily attribute to their changes. Their team is transparent with providing reporting and showing the results of the A/B testing rate. Even aside from that, they’ve been easy to work with, responsive, and professional. It’s been an excellent relationship thus far with Tsunamiclick.

How did Tsunamiclick perform from a project management standpoint?

They perform project management extremely well. Their team is efficient and communicative.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m impressed with the ease of use. The implementation process was simple, from getting them access to our systems so they can perform their audit to the invoicing of the actual work. The testing services they provide is also seamless. A lot of development related projects can be complicated, but this one has been the opposite.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there’s nothing I can think of.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

For future clients, I suggest being as transparent with them as their team is with their clients. During our first call over a year ago, I was honest with them about where we stood from a budgetary process and how it wasn’t feasible for us to pull the trigger and hire them at that point. But by being honest, we kept open the lines of communication. When it was time to hire them, it was easy because they knew our situation.

Our primary objective for this engagement was to improve our conversion rate from the users who visit our site.

Tsunamiclick listened to our ideas for split testing and came up with new ones. Once we choose which ones to pursue, they coded them for testing via CRO software. They provided reports on the performance for each option

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The tests Tsunamiclick facilitated produced useful information for our business. Overall, we generated a positive ROI from our work together. Conversion rate optimization is an ongoing task, and the team smoothly ran multiple tests simultaneously while reporting on the outcomes.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

We managed the projects using email and Google Sheets. Tsunamiclick’s project management methodology worked well for what we needed to accomplish.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Tsunamiclick has skilled people on their team.

The code and tests could use a little more attention to detail, but were still fairly good.

They were self-sufficient and autonomous throughout the project, communicating and executing their plans efficiently without us having to micromanage anything.

Communication is a two-way street: It's important for both teams to be willing to collaborate to come up with the best tests to run to determine what works best for optimizing a website.
