Marc Conklin is an award-winning ghostwriter, copywriter and screenwriter who specializes in capturing other people’s voices. He has ghostwritten full-length books, forewords, prologues, blog posts, articles and op/eds for CEOs, a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, and even a Presidential Medal of Freedom winner. His ghostwritten pieces have appeared in Forbes, Entrepreneur, Medium.com and several trade publications. He’s an IMDb-credited screenwriter on the feature film “Memorial Day,” starring Emmy-winning and Oscar-nominated actor James Cromwell, as well as the independent documentary “Twilight Tear,” narrated by Gary Sinise. He has earned awards from the Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Film Festival, the Society of Professional Journalists, the Public Relations Society of America and the PAGE International Screenwriting Competition. His personal writings have appeared in Notre Dame Magazine and Hamline University’s Water~Stone literary journal. He released an album of original alternative rock and Americana songs called “Just Can’t Sing” in 2019, available on Spotify and Apple Music. After a 10-year ad agency career as a creative director and copywriter in Minneapolis, he had the brilliant idea to go freelance during a recession. He started Conk Creative in 2008, and he’s never looked back.
