Yes, delivered on time. Our schedule is bound to quality outcome instead of hard dates. 

One point of contact facilitates easy communication. 

Needs and milestones do fluctuate - Concrete Bureau is adaptable enough to adjust and accommodate and are mostly clear on delays or ripple effects on how adjustments affect the schedule. 

My feeling working with Concrete Bureau is that they are professional, enjoy the work they do, want a high quality outcome, take the integrity of their business seriously and don't take anything personally (important).  My opinion in business is we are all here to do a great job, to result in a great outcome - it is a good cultural fit. Life is short, have to work with aligned people.

I’m the managing director of an energy and natural resources company. We offer advanced renewable energy generation and storage solutions for households, enabling customers to reduce energy costs and achieve self-sustainability through hybrid and off-grid systems.

What challenge were you trying to address with Concrete Bureau?

We needed help with Revit digital twin modeling of an existing architectural study.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Concrete Bureau provided a complete pipeline up to LOD400 for a family residence with a high technological standard and energy independence. The team handled architectural counseling and modeling, MEP, and static analysis (with external help, but Concrete Bureau coordinated it).

We worked with 2–5 teammates from Concrete Bureau.

We found them through Fiverr or Elance. We chose them because their pricing fit our budget, they were a great culture fit, and they offered good value for the cost.

We worked together from December 2020–August 2022.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We had intra-weekly reviews of the model deliverables. The project was “viable” when Concrete Bureau ended work on it. It still needed some work, but that was manageable with the data they delivered. The data and models provided by Concrete Bureau enabled us to move forward. There were some things that we wished were better (like a more parameterized model), but all in all, it was a success. The house was built based on that model.

How did Concrete Bureau perform from a project management standpoint?

We didn’t have sharp deadlines. We communicated via virtual meetings, email, and messaging apps.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Concrete Bureau’s MEP skills were weak to begin with, but given feedback, they adapted fairly quickly and delivered viable solutions. We were impressed by their Revit knowledge, ability to improvise, and willingness to go the extra mile.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The BIM could have been a more parameterized model, which would give easier access to modifications.

The scope of work included providing BIM support for private architectural projects, working on concrete shop drawings, and delivering 3D modeling services. Since July 2024, the team has been actively involved in multiple projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables and efficient collaboration.
