I'm the owner of The MedSpa Beverly Hills, a medical spa company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Commercial Real Estate?

We acquired a new property for our company which was basically a shell, so we hired Commercial Real Estate to do the entire build-out of our new medical spa.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Commercial Real Estate did construction and construction management for us, including architectural plans and engineering. They designed and built out the space for our medical spa based on what we liked among the options they gave us. They did the designs and the rendering so we could see and understand what we were getting before they built it. After that, their team got the city's approvals and inspections in order, which they turned over to us when they completed that task. From there, they built it out quickly with high quality.

We initially took them to our other medical spas to jumpstart the process. We showed them what we liked, what went wrong with past projects, what we were looking for, and how we worked as a business.

What is the team composition?

We worked with around 20 members of their staff, including designers, design assistants, architects, engineers, a project manager, and someone from their leadership team.

How did you come to work with Commercial Real Estate?

Someone referred them to us, and we researched their previous work. We fell in love with their quality and outstanding communication, so we decided to go with them.

How much have you invested in them?

We spent $1.8 million with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from December 2021–September 2022.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The project results were truly amazing, and our new location is as beautiful as possible. We opened this month with an opening gala, and everyone there was amazed by the outcome. Their work's quality, detail, and cleanliness were fantastic — they transformed the space into a luxurious feel, which was what we wanted to achieve. Having clients coming in and noticing our place's wow factor goes with our highest standards.

How did Commercial Real Estate perform from a project management standpoint?

They had a high level of professionalism and provided high-quality detail. In addition, they had very good communication; I could text, call or email them whenever. Regarding project management tools, they had a third-party software called Buildertrend that we could access and look at our timelines with the construction. The timeline was updated daily, which was very helpful.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their knowledge, professionalism, and communication were their best attributes.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could've brought down the price a little bit, but it goes hand in hand. It's always nice to save money.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

It helps to know what you want. Otherwise, it could take months to figure it out. Commercial Real Estate does help with that, but you have to understand what you want so they can zone into what you're looking for.
