I'm the owner of MijnEvent, an online ticketing platform that helps event organizers in the Netherlands sell tickets and manage their events.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Coding Agency?

We needed to develop the best ticketing platform for the Benelux region.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Coding Agency has designed and built our platform from the ground up. It's a multi-tenant ticketing platform where every event organizer gets their own branded subdomain to sell tickets online. The scope covers the full product, including the visitor-facing ticket shop and checkout with Mollie payments (iDEAL | Wero), e-tickets with QR codes and Apple/Google Wallet passes, peer-to-peer ticket resale, and waitlists.
For door scanning, they've built a native check-in app for both iOS and Android, running on phones and tablets. They've also delivered the organizer dashboard, add-on modules (merchandise, rentals, cashless payments, memberships, courses, fundraising, and city gift cards), reserved seating, a marketing website with a blog, and WCAG AA accessibility across nine languages. Beyond the build, they handle hosting on AWS (Laravel Vapor) and ongoing feature development.

How did you come to work with Coding Agency?

They were referred to me. I chose them over other options because they had high ratings, were close to my geographic location, and offered good value for the cost.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in September 2025, and our engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We've seen significant improvements in our platform's metrics, including tickets sold, revenue per event, the number of organizers onboarding onto the platform, and checkout conversion. On the technical side, we track uptime and error rates. The platform runs serverless on AWS, so it scales automatically during on-sale peaks and has been very stable.
We also track scanning performance at the door during live events. Code quality is guarded by an automated test suite of several hundred tests that runs on every change. The most telling indicator for us is that events run end-to-end on the platform — from ticket sale to door scan — without manual intervention or support incidents.

How did Coding Agency perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicate via in-person meetings, virtual meetings, and email or messaging apps.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Coding Agency's knowledge, speed, and skills are impressive.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can't think of anything for them to improve.
