The project aimed at elevating the customer experience and functionality of the existing review portal. The architecture was successfully refactored to React on the front end, facilitating excellent maintainability and scalability. A new user experience (UX) design was also implemented, offering users a more intuitive and interactive interface. 

We enhanced data management and optimized API endpoints regarding the backend, resulting in more efficient data retrieval and smoother operations. Most notably, we integrated a machine learning (ML)-based recommendation engine and algorithms designed to improve customer retention, thereby providing personalized user experiences and incentivizing repeat interactions with the platform.

Cpde4Nord worked on new features and bug fixes in the web application. This included developing dashboards and reports to monitor fleet performance for shipping companies. 

This was then supported by a sophisticated user management and settings section and a data API. They also worked on the data pipeline for the web application, ingesting data from data collection/energy management system installed on board the ships.

If I have to dig for something, Code4Nord does organize team-building events for its teams, but there is always potential for further improvement in terms of fostering a stronger focus on culture and relationships within the teams.
