The team impressed with their superior development skills paired with their ability to work on tight deadlines. By developing a regular cadence of communication, they managed the project with ease and adapted to any necessary changes in scope. They foresaw potential problems by planning.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

I worked with a project manager (Ankit) and couple developers for our projects. He's always been responsive and has helped come up with solutions to problems. No complaints here. Also, like to mention that, Karan, who is one of the developers was dedicated to provide quality and completed work even when timelines were tight.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

As the project has not yet launched, the company can't provide measurable data. However, the client is happy with the results thanks to CMARIX's work.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Everything was completed on time. We mostly communicated over phone and video chat, but they were very flexible with timing for being a offshore onshore model. Whenever we had a question, they would email us back within an hour.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We appreciated that they took the time to understand our vision and our industry. This allowed them to recommend tailored IT solutions that best fit our situation. They've done great work at an affordable rate. I'm trying to think of other projects and functionality I can work with them on in future.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

All the issues were really minor and have been resolved. This has gone about as well as I could have hoped.

We wanted a user experience that was going to be engaging to various demographics that was beyond the capabilities of our internal technical staff.

I connected with CMarix on LinkedIn and although we were early stages of our planning phase was so inspired by their portfolio that I could visualize key aspects of our own product in a few of their existing projects. We had a call and explained our vision and requirements and their quote was extremely reasonable.

Given this was a UX project we had a workshop to explain our defined user journey and vision for the product. CMarix first created wireframes to better visualize the user journey and after a handful of updates we progressed to design stage where the team provided clickable screens in Adobe XD. We were beyond ecstatic to see the quality of the work and feel our vision coming into reality.

We worked with an account manager, design lead and UX designer.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We are still working to integrate the design assets and layouts into our MVP product so can't talk to demonstratable success yet.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow worked well and we were happy with the results. In truth, I would have liked more communications as the team worked but that's more a reflection on how I work. Potentially with more feedback, we may have gotten to where we needed a little faster, but even with that, we had a final version in hand after 4 updates from the team.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The professionalism of the team and their ability to understand our big picture vision and help us get that out to a UX was so good that we have changed our development plans as we move past our MVP to include CMarix as a technical partner as well. We are looking forward to our future partnership!

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Mid-project communications could have been more regular but it didn't really impact the results in the end.

I had an idea for a web app that I wanted to build an mvp for. It was, in my opinion, fairly complicated with a lot of unique features. Additionally, partway through the project, we began working on a 2nd project with CMARIX to add some custom features to our content based website.

I contacted several development agencies and shared my plans and wireframes for the web app. They were the only company that seemed to really understand what I was going for. They asked appropriate questions, came up with solutions, and the cost fit my budget.

We've been communicating regularly since the project began, primarily via email. The scope and details of the projects have changed from the initial plan but everything has gone smoothly.

I worked with the same project manager for both projects. He's always been responsive and has helped come up with solutions to problems. No complaints here.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The web app is mostly finished with a few small changes still being worked out. Everything is working well on that end and I'm happy with the results. The custom website development brought the changes I was looking for and is working exactly as planned. I'm planning on continuing to work with them on additional functionalities.

We communicated via email and Skype calls. They've always been quick and productive.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They've done great work at an affordable rate. Previously, I'd felt limited due to not having development skills, but now I'm trying to think of other projects and functionality I can work with them on. Working with them has opened up a lot of possibilities that I wouldn't have considered before.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

All the issues were really minor and have been resolved. This has gone about as well as I could have hoped.

I started working with CMARIX in May 2020, and it’s an ongoing partnership.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

It’s a bit too early to know what the impact of the platform will be, but the quality of CMARIX’s work is perfect.  

How did CMARIX perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re excellent. We mainly communicate through WhatsApp, but we’ve had some Zoom conferences as well.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The planning was excellent. They’re very well-organized, always looking to plan ahead. They ask me to write down what needs to happen, and they take care of it.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think so.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

I don’t have any specific advice. CMARIX is great at communication, and they’re well-organized and friendly. I’ll definitely consider them if I need something in the future.

How did you select this vendor?

I conducted a lot of research on potential vendor partners and spoke with each of their recent clients to get an objective perspective on their skillset, execution and working style.

Of all the vendors I spoke with, CMARIX had the most glowing recommendation. They were also the only ones that submitted a very thoughtful, thorough proposal that not only reflected the points discussed on our initial calls but also demonstrated what a successful partnership with CMARIX looks like.

Once I hired CMARIX, we had several kickoff calls to discuss and align on the requirements in full and specific detail. After that, their design team came back with mockups and wireframes for every screen in the app (a few dozen). They submitted a variety of concepts and looks to choose from and were thoughtful in taking and incorporating my feedback.

With an approved design, their coding team then took over and we went through several iterations of development and testing to get the app finalized. They were great at pointing out potential user experience problems that I didn't think about and also coming up with effective solutions.

What was the team composition?

I initially spoke with a sales consultant during the proposal process. Once I decided to move forward, a project manager took over with a team of developers and designers.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The app just launched recently so I don't have success data to share yet, but I feel really good about the output.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Despite the time difference between India and the US, I could always rely on CMARIX to be very timely in their response. Email, skype chat and skype calls worked very well.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their timeliness in responses, project management and ability to come up with great solutions quickly to problems were impressive.

Are there any areas for improvement?

While this wasn't part of the scope, more thought leadership around the kinds of metrics and app analytics to track would've been helpful.

Marketing Manager at Airofit. Airofit is a respiratory training solution for athletes. The breathing trainer provides resistance to the user's respiratory muscles, making them faster, stronger and more efficient, which therefore improves the person's physical performance as well as general wellbeing. The smartphone app gives people live feedback and guidance, as well as the ability to track progress over time.

CMARIX was used for their expertise in Shopify theme modifications. Since Airofit is a startup, our IT resources are used in app development. Therefore CMARIX helped us as an external resource.

What were your goals for this project?

The goal was to create modifications to our Shopify theme and go beyond its native features, improving the customer journey on our website.

How did you select this vendor?

We posted the request on LinkedIn and heard back from CMARIX within a day with a very attractive offer.

CMARIX offered their experience and expertise in Shopify-related development. They made the necessary changes to a third party theme files, giving us the opportunity to create new content blocks on the web that was otherwise impossible with the native features. In addition, they helped us with an IP-based redirect solution which allows us to target different markets with tailored content.

What was the team composition?

We were in direct contact with one of their Account managers who then communicated our needs to an internal team.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The IP-based redirect tool allowed us to work with an external distributor who takes care of specific markets. This means we could separate our order fulfillment, customer support and other related areas of operation.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

The management was really effective - the direct contact with an account manager meant that all questions and concerns were addressed within the same day.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The lead time and the cost level is very reasonable. They were open to discuss other possibilities of cooperation when we were not willing to share full access to our Shopify account due to basic security concerns.

Are there any areas for improvement?

No complaints or concerns.

We connect customers to caterers via curated Packages. We save time for customers, provide value and an overall excellent service. I am the Founder and Director of the business.

For what projects/services did your company hire CMARIX?

We hired CMARIX to help us develop a front end webpage for customer to buy Packages that caterers curated. I already had a system in place so CMARIX had to integrate this with the old system. And make it work simultaneously.

What were your goals for this project?

The goal of this project was to be able to integrate the new webpage with the old webpage so that customers and caterers can seamlessly get enquiries and receive packages orders. They had to also integrate all the emails and ensure that this did not impact the old system. They also had to integrate this new webpage with back end admin panel i.e. merge new orders, creating packages into the existing back-end profile of caterers.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

I selected this vendor through a third party platform. I read its reviews and its focus on customer experience. I also noted that they had done projects all over the world and the design of websites was brilliant.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

I contributed a wireframe of how the webpage should function itself and how it should integrate into the old system. I gave the design, the functionality and the instructions. The vendor was responsible for implementing those designs and they did to the T. Obviously i am not a developer so there some technical aspects of the customer journey i did not understand but CMARIX explained this. For example, one technical aspect was actually activating the job from the back end. This was not as simple as turning the button because when you turn the button it activate the new and old orders so this has to be carefully configured.

What was the team composition?

I had an account manager who was always available. I also had a project manager. Both were prompt and always helpful. They dealt with everything from technical issues to payments.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Not at this current time. This is a new venture and though the platform is now ready, we need to begin our marketing campaign.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Project management was brilliant. It was seamless, it didn't feel like nothing was being handled. We had used Trello to monitor and track the work and tasks and this was very useful indeed. Everything was done on time and to the deadline. No language barrier although based in India.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The most impressive was their communication. It was always prompt and you can expect a response within an hour. You just knew that anything would be taken care of. They were flexible, friendly and approachable.

Are there any areas for improvement?

There is very little to improve. My only recommendation would be as they did with me, is with new customers, sit and talk through the requirements with as much detail as possible and continue to provide recommendations as CMARIX has the expertise and experience. Done this well with me, so it'd be good if other customers have that as well.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Sharing economy is operational critical and we have to move the whole operations via technology and digital. CMARIX helped us giving an amazing user experience for platform where we have to hardly give a manual for user to follow and interact with system. They given amazing help, instructions and popups in the platform (which we never asked - they took that step to enable us) Now the platform can handle close to 1000 transactions per minutes and work with out turbulence with more than 12,000 people on the platform in one go

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

We have a dedicated project manager and a weekly meeting where the PM has give us the progress of current week and scrum for next week. They used to demonstrate the progress and used to take our feedback and communicate aggressively whenever it's required However, Project Manager used to communicate with us over email or calls when there is some feedback or roadblocker

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their efforts in making us Win - Honestly, none of the vendors we been to give us competitor analysis and workshop (where they educated us on how to provide things for a better outcome) Adapting to the needs - We are a micro finance firm and this can be one industry where there can be not many vendors who know about us. CMARIX took this a challenge and started understanding the industry and our needs and aligned them accordingly

We have a smooth transition. There are certain areas of improvement but they outreached our expectations

I’m the owner of a small, growing digital marketing firm. We do a lot of websites for small and existing companies that have nonexistent or outdated platforms. Our team does advertising, graphic design, social media, and SEO; basically, everything that comes together to properly market a company.

What challenge were you trying to address with CMARIX?

I was specifically looking for some programmer assets because we do a lot of development in-house. From time to time, we get larger scope projects, need higher-level programmers, or don’t have enough staff to lead some of the projects. I’ve previously worked with offshore teams before and didn’t mind my communication with them. That’s why I decided to engage with CMARIX.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They’ve mostly provided web development efforts for 3–4 WordPress platforms and also completed one custom Laravel website with a bunch of search and database features. I direct them with content recommendations, colors, and elements that I need for the website. Then, they handle the development side, whether its custom work or modifying an existing theme.

What is the team composition?

I have a primary contact and have also worked with three different project managers. For one individual project manager, there are usually 1–2 programmers under them. I don’t always know how many are in the backend, but that doesn’t matter as long as the work gets done.

How did you come to work with CMARIX?

I found them on LinkedIn. Our sales rep was easy to communicate with. Even though their company is offshore, English didn’t seem to be a problem. CMARIX was on-time and their website was organized. They had a good, trusting appearance and then everything seemed to work out as we did our first projects together.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested between $10,000–$15,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing partnership began in August 2018. We don’t have an active project right now, but they are always in my queue.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

CMARIX’s work is solid. They do everything we ask them to, and I haven’t seen any flaws. It’s nice to have a rhythm where we can get work done overnight. If I send them a task for a change or update request in the evening, I know it’ll be done by the next day because of our time zone difference. It works out pretty well.

How did CMARIX perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management is pretty good. If the task is scoped out correctly, the work gets done correctly. Overall, everything’s great. We communicate through Skype, email, and phone calls. Everyone is easy to get ahold of if needed.

What did you find most impressive about them?

CMARIX has a lot of certifications. I haven’t seen anything bad in their coding. Their team is pretty good with their codes, and nothing they’ve done has been a shortcut. I’ve worked with other vendors and sometimes they threw loops in to retain our businesses. I haven’t seen that with CMARIX because they’re very professional.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There could be an improvement for certain projects where the scope gets too complex. It’d be beneficial if they helped us fully understand and even provided an explanation as to why this is the best way to do it. Their team kind of does that, but they could have a more focused effort on it. This isn’t really a critique because these friendly suggestions and extra personal touches would take them above and beyond most offshore companies.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

CMARIX can do a great job, just make sure you fully understand your project requirements and can accurately document them. Once you do that, you’ll get an outstanding result from them. Make sure everything is scoped out. Understand their expectations and ensure they understand yours. Get everything to them in a timely fashion, and they’ll do a good job.

CMARIX developed a responsive E-Commerce platform for a Natural and Organic Skincare, Beauty and Wellness store. They developed a custom platform, front end web platform and back end admin panel development coding in the HTML from the customers visual designs.

We are a startup online store and hired CMARIX to build a custom E-Commerce platform that can grow as our store grows.

What were your goals for this project?

My goal was to launch with a Phase 1 web store that could compete with the other companies in my market that have been running for 8+ years. I wanted custom functionality and flexibility that I could not get with a Shopify or Magneto platform.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

After about 4 months of searching for a web developer (both in Australia, India and worldwide) I chose to work with CMARIX on my project. I felt very confident that they had the skills to be able to implement what I wanted to achieve from my initial discussions with Mitesh, researching their past work and from reading reviews. Mitesh understood my vision and added valuable insights into how CMARIX could help construct the platform and recommended a custom built website which is what I already knew I needed.

Herbana is an online store that sells personal care products, it has a detailed shoppable ingredient glossary and key ingredients section on each product page so customers know exactly what is in their products. CMARIX helped to build in a charity option where a percentage of our profits are donated to the customers charity choice upon checkout. A reward program was also built in.

What was the team composition?

Main points of contact for the duration of the project was Mitesh the Business Development Manager, Viram my Project Manager and occasionally Maulik the Web Developer and other individuals that would come as go as skills were needed. Employing a team over an individual was important to me so that I would reap the benefits of the whole organisations experience.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Being a start up, CMARIX were essential in making Herbana a reality, transforming the ideas in my head into a commercial business. The overall outcome of the final product has exceeded my expectations and this would not have been possible without the team's invaluable experience, efforts and collaboration.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Project management was very professional. We communicated through weekly Skype meetings to track development and to discuss functionality. Many suggestions were made from the CMARIX team as to how they could build the platform to best achieve my desired outcome. Any delays were communication ahead of time as these were mainly due to our adding in Change Requests that were additional to the original scope signed off on.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

It was critical to me to be able to communicate to the team as well as if I was doing it in person and with my own nationality. CMARIX made this so easy as I had direct access to both project managers and the team behind them. Whenever I wanted to set up a meeting, it was arranged. It was very easy resolving issues or understanding each other with Skype screen-share. The lines of communication were completely open and this made working with CMARIX very easy.

Are there any areas for improvement?

There is very little that they need to improve on. My only advise for the more inexperienced customers is to have more concrete ideas about how you want to build your project prior to scope so that there are not as many Change Requests during build. Having a clearer idea will help the CMARIX team accurately cost up your projects scope. Saying that through my final results are still cheaper and with far more features than with other vendors I priced up with.
