I'm part owner of the family cold-storage and warehousing business.

For what projects/services did your company hire Citizens Public Adjusters, and what were your goals?

Our facilities in Texas were severely damaged by hail storms, and we needed someone to manage the complex insurance claims associated to pay contractors and cover the business interruption costs.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I had heard of Citizens through a friend, and then did extensive research. Ultimately, talking with them, was clear they understood the Texas market, insurance claims of our size, complexity, and carrier associated.

Describe the engagement and overall scope of work in detail, including the stages of the partnership.

We had an initial call, and then they did an on-site inspection of our facilities. We signed an agreement letter, and they got to work. They did a detailed work-up and appraisal of the the damage to the property, and the costs associated with repairing the facility. They then proceeded to submit it to the insurance company, negotiate with their adjuster, and got us the full amount for what needed.

What were the terms and the value of the lease, and what percentage did Citizens Public Adjusters take in commission?

10%, contingency

Yes, we get 40% more than what our insurance company initially offered us.

Communicative, it's obvious they have robust tools internally by the reports they generate, communicated with us mostly via email, phone, and then shared files via a secure box.net folder

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Attention to detail, compassion and empathy for our situation, and then firm, persistent negotiation with insurance company.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Not really, could probably market themselves better, if people knew how good they were, would be a massive business.
