What challenge were you trying to address with Cerberil?
We needed help performing penetration testing on our web application and APIs to identify and remediate security weaknesses.

What was the scope of their involvement?
Cerberil conducted a hands-on penetration testing engagement covering our web application and supporting APIs. The scope included manual security testing for common and advanced vulnerabilities, access control and authentication checks, and validation of business logic flows.
Key deliverables included a comprehensive penetration testing report with prioritized findings, clear risk ratings, proof-of-concept evidence, and practical remediation recommendations. Cerberil also provided clarification sessions to walk our team through the results and ensure the findings were fully understood and actionable.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Cerberil helped us identify multiple security weaknesses, including critical and medium-risk vulnerabilities, which we remediated based on their recommendations. The structured report and walkthrough reduced remediation time and allowed us to validate fixes efficiently, resulting in a more secure and production-ready application.
Following the engagement, we remediated the high- and medium-risk vulnerabilities identified by Cerberil and validated the fixes internally. This resulted in a cleaner follow-up security review with no critical issues outstanding prior to release.
Additionally, the improved access control checks and hardening recommendations reduced false positives in our internal security monitoring and lowered the risk of security-related incidents during subsequent development cycles.
