Centience started as a managed IT firm serving regulated industries in New York. Over 20 years, we kept seeing the same gap: firms had IT support, but no one was running the governance layer that regulators actually look for.

We start with a governance assessment to identify gaps across infrastructure, cybersecurity, and AI. From there we build and operate the program on an ongoing basis — weekly calls, continuous monitoring, real-time evidence maintenance. Most clients are with us for years, not months.

Yes — exclusively. Every client we serve operates under some form of regulatory oversight. Financial services firms, RIAs, broker-dealers, healthcare organizations, and law firms make up the majority of our client base. We understand what regulators look for and build governance programs accordingly.

We implement DLP controls to prevent PII from entering AI tools, connect compliance APIs to capture all inputs and outputs, and enforce AI policies at the technical level — not just on paper. Books and records requirements apply to AI the same as email, and we manage that continuously.

We begin with a two-week transition period alongside your current provider if applicable, followed by a structured onboarding that covers inventory, access controls, policy review, and governance gaps. Most clients are fully onboarded within 30 days with a dedicated account manager and support team in place.
