I’m the practice manager of Pediarix. A Phoenix-based pediatrics clinic.

What challenge were you trying to address with CBIZ?

We were with the same accounting group for 25 years and we wanted to change to a better accounting provider.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

CBIZ is our primary accounting provider. We have a CPA who handles our in-house bookkeeping, tax preparation, and financial planning on a day-to-day basis.

What is the team composition?

We have one main CPA, but she also has a team of accountants working in the backend.

How did you come to work with CBIZ?

One of my physicians did his personal taxes with them. The reason we chose them is we needed some form of discipline in our accounting efforts, and they were able to show that they can provide that.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent somewhere around $100,000 USD.

What is the status of this engagement?

The ongoing partnership started in March 2018.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They provide us with accounting support that helps our day-to-day operations. They’ve also been excellent in forecasting solutions on staff raises, benefits, and bonuses.

How did CBIZ perform from a project management standpoint?

Even though we don’t meet with them as much as we do with other vendors, they’ve been really great from a project management perspective. They use QuickBooks as their primary accounting tool and we typically communicate through email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We haven’t been really focused on our finances, so we like that they’re really strict and straightforward with us in terms of their accounting services.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t have any problems with the services I’m getting with CBIZ.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

My advice is to listen to what they have to offer and be open to taking their advice.
