Please describe your company and your position there.

My company is working on developing games and apps for third parties. Those are usually games and apps that companies use to promote their products and brand. I am the founder and 3D artist working under the BabyBottle Studio name.

For what projects/services did your company hire BUNDOS, and what were your goals?

BUNDOS was hired to provide the programming and game developing in Unity 3D.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

To be honest, that decision was on the spot. Let me explain. I was working on Hololens 2 project and unfortunately, due to the illness, my first choice programmer had to quit the production, but recommended Maxim and BUNDOS to replace them on the position. Due to schedule I just went with it, and the risk paid off completely and even more.

This recommendation is covering several projects with various complexities. I usually did 3D and 2D graphics and Maxim did the Unity 3D programming. We always have milestones that are imposed by clients, and that usually is to check the progress of graphics and functionality.

It was always Maxim.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

I always got high-quality products beyond my expectations.

Being an artist myself, I am not too keen on tight scheduling and corporate byrocracy and I don't like to impose that on the people I collaborate with. But even those were not Imposed, Bundos manged to cover that with their initiative, hard work and proficiency. We always managed to keep the clients happy by delivering milestone versions of the product and final version as well.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They are fast learners who are able to adapt to new challenges. For example, we had an opportunity to work together on a Hololens 2 project immediately after it's release. BUNDOS managed to learn everything about its strengths and limitations and to deliver the product on it in no time.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I wish I could think of something, but for now, everything works great. I will hire them again as soon as the opportunity arrives.

I am the founder and CEO of aloeVR. We serve student mental health through mindfulness-building virtual reality experiences.

For what projects/services did your company hire BUNDOS, and what were your goals?

We hired BUNDOS to build the second iteration of our VR game experience. They were to put together for different gamified environments of Peru, with animal "peace guides" and mini-games. Our goal was to have an easy-to-use, cohesive and engaging game for student mental health.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We went through 40 developers on Upwork and ultimately selected Maksim of BUNDOS. I decided on BUNDOS because Maksim asked very perceptive questions. For example, he asked questions about what I liked and didn’t like about my past experiences with developers in order to even further serve my project’s needs. He showed genuine interest and passion in my vision and project. BUNDOS was also transparent about what was in the scope of work and all costs therein.

They created 4 different natural game environments in Peru, complete with adding my voice actor recordings and music. They added in the 3 animated animals for each level, who guide the mini-lessons. They are good at both Unreal Engine and Unity.

A project manager, Maksim, was the main point of contact. He had a team of at least 4 developers, who all had different strengths.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

They finished the app on time. The new game experience they helped me create makes it much easier for my school clients to enjoy the game.

They worked quickly on project action items, and met all deadlines early. Maksim was a good listener and talked “with” me not “at” me. Overall, BUNDOS showed caring and prompt communication. They were always responsive and productive with my feedback. BUNDOS asked questions about what I liked and didn’t like about my past experiences with developers in order to even further serve my project’s needs.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Maksim and his team showed incredible perseverance, positivity, and resilience in solving unexpected problems. They also always gave suggestions as to how to make my vision work in reality. Finally, they had the technical knowledge to go above and beyond in executing what I asked of them.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

They had a little bit of inexperience publishing games, but were very persistent in terms of meeting my goals in this regard.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m a producer for Point In Time Studios. We’re a production company that does marketing and create videos across various industries. We also do motion graphic work and have started providing AR experiences.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with BUNDOS?

We hired them to develop an AR experience for one of our clients, a farming company.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Initially, we provided them with a 3D fly-through that we had done for our client’s farmland. BUNDOS then used it as a base to work off of in developing the AR experience, including the application that would be showcased at an upcoming trade show. They used Unity for development and made the app compatible with iOS.

When users open the app, the product that the client is trying to show or sell appears as if it's literally right in front of them. This gives users an immersive experience as they learn more information about that certain product.

The BUNDOS team also did some motion graphic work for us.

What is the team composition?

We worked mainly with Maksim (Founder), who had his own team working behind the scenes.

How did you come to work with BUNDOS?

It was through an online job posting that the owner of our company made. Several AR companies responded to it with their demos, and we ended up selecting BUNDOS because their demo was the best.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent around $8,500 on this project.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together on this project from April–May 2022.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our client was extremely happy with their work — they loved it. We also had a great experience working with them.

How did BUNDOS perform from a project management standpoint?

They came through despite being given a very tight deadline and stayed within budget. We managed tasks and regularly interacted through Basecamp and via email occasionally. We also held Zoom meetings once a week.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their biggest strength is their design skills.

Are there any areas they could improve on?

The difference in time zones made it a bit difficult to communicate with them consistently.

Make sure to constantly communicate with them throughout.
