I'm the chief product officer at an education technology company in the B2B space.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Brewex?

We were trying to come up with a solution that automates administrative tasks for schools. We developed a web and a mobile app version of an ERP system and needed a company that could design the solutions’ UI/UX.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We hired Brewex to design the UI/UX of our ERP system and mobile app. They were tasked with brainstorming, designing the user flows, screens, and UI, and creating a clickable prototype for both the web version and the mobile app version of the ERP system using Figma.

What is the team composition?

We worked with the founder and two UI/UX designers from Brewex.

How did you come to work with Brewex?

We found Brewex through a referral. We gave them a design case study, which they had to submit as part of our evaluation process. We decided to go with Brewex based on the internal review, availability, budget, and quality of the case study they submitted.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from June–November 2022.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Brewex delivered the project on time and according to our requirements. There was 90% accuracy in what we had asked for versus what was delivered. Overall, we were incredibly happy with the final results.

How did Brewex perform from a project management standpoint?

Brewex performed well in terms of project management. We worked in two-week sprints, and they were able to deliver everything on time.
We used Jira for project management.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We were impressed with Brewex’ flexibility, proactive approach, and attention to our needs. They were always willing to accommodate last-minute requests and changes in our project scope. They were also incredibly receptive to and quick to implement feedback. There was a design system already in place when they joined the project, and they were able to embrace it, work with it, and create designs that were in line with it.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could benefit from focusing more on their due diligence in terms of submitting their designs at the end of the sprints.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Make sure to maintain constant engagement with them to ensure everything is on track.

For what projects/services did your company hire Brewex?

We hired Brewex for designing our portal from scratch. Their industry experience and expertise in UX/UI were much needed for our business to succeed.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We evaluated multiple vendors based on experience, cost and quality of work for this project. After meeting and speaking to them, Brewex seemed to be the best fit for us.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

Soon after we communicated our product vision, the design team at Brewex started their user research and came up with insights and suggestions along with overall design guidelines. After that they went to their drawing board and came up with several concepts and solutions. We finalised one approach and Brewex team did several visual design options that we tested internally and finally implemented.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We worked with both founders, 1 senior UX designer as well as 1 visual designer from Brewex.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The implemented designs went live soon after they were delivered to us and we started to see the impact very shortly. Gradually we started getting visitors on our website that started to turn into buyers resulting into revenue for us.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Working and coordinating with Brewex was very convenient and smooth. We regularly got together to share our feedback and discuss design options.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

One thing that really impressed us about them is their quality of ideas as well as output. They thoroughly understand the requirement and come up with effective and meaningful solutions.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Not really. Everything is going really well.
