Brew City Accounting and Tax was contacted to provide personal and business tax services for a marketing firm and their CEO.

The client was gravely disappointed by Brew City Accounting and Tax's lack of response. They had provided personal and important information to the vendor only to be ignored for three months. The vendor's owner has yet to reach out to the client for negotiations and compromises for the accounts.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Brew City Accounting and Tax?

I called in January 2021 and spoke to the accountant who said that they would take on my personal and business taxes.

SOLUTION

Describe the engagement in detail.

I was told to fill out the tax organizer, by Ryan, and was asked to send it back into contact@brewcityaccounting.com. I called back three weeks later to see if they received my information. I left a second message for "Stephen", the owner, and NO RESPSONSE. I waited another two weeks and resent the information and called Ryan back to leave another message for Stephen. Ryan was very apologetic and told me he didn't know why Stephen wasn't getting back to me. He said he would put the message on Stephen's desk. NO RESPONSE. I called back in March to see why Stephen hadn't reached out to me and Ryan apologized, again, and told me to send the info to stephen.shelly@brewcityaccounting.com. I send the information and NO RESPONSE.

What was the team composition?

I was tossed back and forth between contacts and received no response every time!

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the engagement that demonstrate progress or success?

We invested so much time and effort into switching accountants and are extremely disappointed that Stephen has yet to reach out, yet he has all of our personal and confidential information.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

They missed the DEADLINE to ask for an extension for my business taxes. I resent the information to Stephen's email four times and left five messages, since January. It's April 15th and I still haven't heard from Stephen. This is such POOR BUSINESS.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Actually, I would recommend that people do NOT use their services. It's obvious that they don't want to help others in the community.
